CHAPTER 32
{I’m training and training, learning new techniques. I train the girls that come for help. I provide them with a home, somewhere to belong. Some of them are orphans, some have run away from families and bad marriages. I’m here to provide help to all.
But something peculiar happened. A young boy named Cassian has come asking for shelter. He is badly hurt, and it seems people are after him. I want to throw him away, but the girls can’t help but want to keep him.
I don’t trust more men in my life; I’ve been hurt a lot from them. I just want to protect and help the girls that suffer.
Yet here he is, acting humble.
Like I care. Does he think I will like him or something?
His eyes pierce through me, he is interested in learning about me, the secrets I keep. Why does he do that?
