The day of The Birthday Party .The Blackwood estate was a fortress of old money and old secrets. Tonight, the estate was busy with guest flooding in for Evelyn Vane's birthday party and hoping for some drama.In Killian's penthouse, Elara was standing in the mirror checking out the dress Fabien chose for her. A white gown with baby blue designs. Killian appeared from the bathroom in a red and black three piece suit.
"You ready?" He asked."Yeah.""Then let's go" Killian said. He wrapped his hands around her waist and they headed out.
Killian spoke up when the driver started the car.
“There will be reporters to be prepared. Don't reply to any of their questions just smile and I will walk-drag us into the Estate.”
“Okay.”
“Good” Killian said and opened a compartment inside the car.
He took out a box and opened it to reveal a diamond necklace. It looked like it was made from the same emerald diamond as the ring she wore.
He places it around her neck.
“Another heirloom?” She asked. “Yes, it's the twin of the ring you wear.”
They soon arrived at the Estate. The door opened from the outside and bodyguards surrounded them as they came out.
The reporter moved closer, trying to move past the bodyguards to them. Elara smiled through the pressure she was feeling while Killian remained cold.
“Mr Killian, who is this lady with you” One reporter asked.
“Is she your girlfriend?” Another asked.
Is that the Vane family heirloom, is she the next Vane Matriarch in the mak-”.Killian ignored all of them and just walked straight into the estate with Elara by his side.
Immediately Killian and Elara entered, the room turned silent. Well for different reason.The guest were silent because this was their first time seeing the cold CEO of Vane Global Holdings with a woman and holding her in such a intimate manner as well.
Evelyn, because she thought she wouldn't be seeing Elara again after her idiotic son, Leo broke up with her. And Leo because, he just couldn't believe his eyes. killian his brother and Elara, his ex... together? That unbelievable.
Killian led Elara towards Evelyn.
“Happy birthday mom” killian said.
“Happy birthday Madam Vane” Elara said.
“Thank you, Killian and Elara. I-”
“The f**k is going on here?” Leo yelled, tightening his hands that wrap around Sienna’s waist.
“Leo, don't cause a scene” Evelyn tried to reason with her i***t of a son.
“No mom. I need to know what is going on here. Is the mighty killian Vane going around now, collecting leftovers?
I broke up with this bit”Elara interrupts him “Point of correction, I broke up with after you cheated with this white lotus next to you” Elara said.
Hearing that the murmurs began. Leo looked shocked. Elara has never spoken back at her.

“I am not the same Elara that you know Leo”
killian ignored his brother and address his mom. “Mom, Elara is my wife now.
We have been married for a week now. We wanted it to be a surprise for you” killian said.
“Oh wow! That’s nice. I am happy for you” Evelyn said.
“Mom!!!” Leo yelled.
“What?”
“Mom, you can't accept this! Elara is my ex-girlfriend and-”
“Exactly your ex-girlfriend and now she married to your older brother. She is a Matriach and your elder sister- respect her” Evelyn scolded Leo.
Elara smirked and replied trying to like a pity young woman.She pretended to be a pity young woman and said, “Mother-in-law, does my brother-in-law hate me so much that he wants me out of the family?”
“Oh dear, don’t listen to this fool. He is just being an asshole,” Evelyn said, playing along while glaring at Leo.
“Before my brother continues his tantrum,” Killian said, “he should know he no longer owns any shares in the company.”
“What? Killian, you asshole!” Leo yelled.
“Don't blame me, Leo.
That is what our grandfather’s will said. If you married before me, you could keep your 15% shares. But since I married before you, they become mine. You lost your shares. I hope you don't lose the only company you still control, too.”
“Enough,” Evelyn said. “Today is my birthday, and we will celebrate as a family.” Everyone else quickly went back to their own business, pretending they hadn't been listening.
Evelyn walked away with Elara. Leo stayed behind, staring angrily at Killian.
“Listen to this warning, brother,” Killian said. “Don't ever touch Elara, or you will wish you never met me.” Then, Killian walked away.
After a while, it was time for the cake cutting. Every one gathered around The Matriarch of the Vane household. After the cake cutting, Leo decided to cause more trouble with his mistress.
“So, Elara... how did you and my brother end up together? Everyone wants to hear your ‘perfect love story’ Leo loudly asked drawing attention to them.
“It's not a perfect love story Leo” killian said, while Elara ‘pitiably’ clean wiped fake tears.
“After you cheated on me... I met your brother at the bar. We had a chat. I told him what you did and he confessed his undying love for me.
He proposed marriage as a way to rectify your betrayal. I refused... but said if i don't love him now, he is ready to wait- isn't he sweet” Elara said glancing at Leo and continue “and let me tell you, I am half way there”
“You are only after the Vane title” Sienna angrily shouted.
“says the b***h who slept with a man who was already in a relationship”
“It's not my fault, he preferred me!”You mean it's not your fault he thought you were cheap and free? Yeah not your fault.
