Chapter 9
When she returned to the kitchen, everyone was talking quickly and over each other. Becky shut the door and watched Liam, Rachel, Catherine and Jeremy all stuck in a deep discussion.
"Hello?" Becky asked. "I have found out some things that might be useful."
"Doesn’t matter," Liam stated. "The Sheriff decided that Rhonda is guilty. He arrested her."
"But we might need her still?" Becky asked. She wasn't sure why she was surprised. She kept talking. "I even have a theory."
"It doesn't matter," Jeremy said. "As far as we're concerned, this case is closed."
"At least we can enjoy our night," Liam said.
"I was enjoying my night," Becky said petulantly. "Don't you want to hear what I found out?" Everyone stared at her. She stared back, trying to hold each gaze individually.
