I followed the cat up to Ivy's room then found Ivy's body on the carpet floor. Her blond hair was spilled on the floor, her limp arms and legs were in a stretching pose, and her plump lips were covered in blood.
"Ivy!" I shouted, running up to her. I laid my ear to her heart trying to hear if it was beating. It wasn't. "Ivy!" I cried, pulling her up in my arms. I sobbed uncontrollably. I brushed back her hair then placed my lips on her forehead. "This is all my fault," I screamed to myself. "I should've been the victim, not her."
I picked up my phone out of my pocket then dialed 911. "911," a female voice said. "What's your emergency?" I took a deep breath then told her what happened and Ivy's address. "Okay sir," the female voice responded carefully. "Help is on the way." After I turned off my phone, I sat beside Ivy, wiping away my tears from her porcelain face.
Clarence needs to pay for this. I clenched my fists then punched the wall beside me. "Meow," Cookie Dough cried, resting her furry body against Ivy's. Wiping away my tears, I laid Ivy's body on the floor then left her house. A few minutes later, an ambulance parked on the driveway then entered the house without no hesitation.
I turned my heel then vanished from the scene. When I returned to my apartment, I send an email to my stepfather, telling him that I want to speak with him. No phones, no bodyguards, and certainly no games.
A few minutes ago, Clarence emailed me back, saying that he agrees with my proposal and wants to discuss it through dinner. I shut off my computer, shed off of my disguise then hurried to take a shower.
My thoughts of Ivy weighed heavily ony mind while I scrubbed the pain with a washcloth. I was thinking about calling the police, then tell show them all the evidence against Clarence.
But if I do that, the police would ask me how I got the information. I closed my eyes shut then opened them. Even if I tell the police, Clarence will know about it and kill someone, including my alcoholic mother.
But despite the risk, I need to tell them everything: from A to Z. I turned the knob of the shower nozzle, making the water grow weaker.
After my miserable shower, I dressed in my casual clothes, grabbed my backpack then walked out of the apartment building through the back door.
I became reluctant to turn myself in, but after what Clarence did to some many people, I guess I have no choice. Finding the police station wasn't that hard.
It was only twenty blocks straight down from the abandoned apartment building.
