I think Cole was relieved when our dual household’s human population went back to two. Not because he disliked JoJo in any way, but for the same reason I was relieved: the two of us had barely begun to know each other when my previous relationship became this huge complication. Or, more accurately, when we both acknowledged that my previous relationship wasn’t over.
This was a new situation. I wasn’t quite sure how to handle it. Before Anthony, I might be seeing multiple guys in the same span of time, but none of us would consider our liaisons a relationship in the sense of planning for and around each other.
