Chapter 18:As The Lines Blur Together

1243 Words
jeongguk didn't know where they were going. taehyung had woken him at at the crack of dawn and practically dragged him out of bed. they were both clothed in black from head to toe, and taehyung had a rather large bag of some sort slung over his shoulder. after yesterday, jeongguk has decided to keep his mouth shut. he was lucky that taehyung had calmed down so quickly and hadn't gone further. he also wanted to be good for the older, he didn't want to be annoying and disturbing. he wanted taehyung to think... good of him. he wanted to be good for him. they were walking up the stairs of some sort of old building, everything deadly quiet as everyone was still presumably sleeping. jeongguk silently followed the other male, fiddling with his fingers as a small flicker of fear ignited in his chest, scared of what taehyung could be leading him to. he could run... but he doesn't want to. he wants to stay. they reached a door to an apartment and, for some reason, taehyung had the keys to unlock and open it. jeongguk carefully walked inside and had a look around, the place was empty. good. that meant it was uninhabited. taehyung closed the door behind them and walked over to a window. the teen curiously followed behind, arms tucked behind his back. jeongguk's eyes blow up wide when he see's taehyung pull out a large sniper gun from the bag, picking up the pieces and setting it up right in front of the window. "taehyung what–" he asks, completely in shock. "I'm older than you, darling. show respect." taehyung says without looking at the younger, still fixing the gun by tightening the accessory rail. jeongguk swallowed and tried again. "h-hyung, what-what are you doing?" with a loud clack taehyung shoves the stock of the gun closed. eyes finally casting a glance at the awkward-looking teen. "come here, cupcake." the older's dark tone commands and holds out a hand. jeongguk doesn't even hesitate to take it, his smaller hand being engulfed by taehyung's much stronger grip. the younger gets pulled down next to the older, practically sitting in his lap as his cheeks set ablaze with a little embarrassed red hue. taehyung ignored his flustered state as his large arms came around the smaller boy's frame, his hands fumbling and holding onto the deadly weapon. his hot breath right next to jeongguk's ear, chest firmly pressed against the younger's back. their proximity was driving jeongguk insane. "give me your hands." the way taehyung's baritone voice rumbled in jeongguk's ear shot shivers down his spine, small pale hand coming up to be guided by the other's. taehyung places his hands on the gun. "this... do you know what it is?" he asks. jeongguk's mind is getting clouded, all he can focus on is the male behind him emitting such power. "th-the trigger..." the teen whispered, dreading that taehyung could feel how his hands were shaking. "that's right." taehyung smirks, seeing how affected the boy was in his hold. then the older pressed down on jeongguk's finger, and the teen almost yelped in shock as he thought the gun was going to go off. taehyung's melodic and addictive chuckle ran through jeongguk's body, the poor boy shivering from the overwhelming situation. "don't worry, cupcake." jeongguk could hear from his voice that taehyung was wearing his condescending and teasing smile. "the safety is on." jeongguk meekly nodded, wanting to pull his finger off the trigger but taehyung didn't allow it and held his hands in place. then his other hand came up and clicked off something at the top of the barrel. "now it's off." jeongguk's eyes widened. "look through the hole, baby." not being able to refuse that sweet sweet sound, jeongguk's body obeyed the order and leaned over to peak an eye at the small loophole. he spotted a man at a desk, a little red dot placed right in the middle of the back of his head. putting two and two together, jeongguk gasped and jumped back from the gun, but taeyung still held him in place. "shhh... deep breaths." the older soothed him and one hand stroked the younger's back affectionately. "it's okay, cupcake. he's a bad man. a horrible person. he deserves this." "wh-why?" jeongguk croaked out, his entire frame trembling with... what, exactly? fear? no... dread? no, that wasn't it either. "he is heavily involved in running a business in illegal dog fights. his men took a random dog off the streets that wore a collar, the dog was torn to shreds in a fight. this is the owner's revenge." while processing what taehyung was telling him, the younger furrowed his brows trying to figure out what has got his heart pumping and brain corrupted with such a familiar feeling, yet... it can't be that, right? no, it can't be... ...right? but as his blood rushed through his head, warmth spreading throughout his entire body, and lips curled at the edges into a sickening grin– –jeongguk knew was it was. excitement. he was excited to end someone's life. what the f**k was wrong with him?! "darling?" jeongguk snapped out his trance and looked at the older. "you understand why we have to do this, right?" although taehyung's expression appears slightly sympathetic and soft, his mind is a turmoil of loving how well jeongguk is responding to his manipulation. "the world doesn't need people like him. he doesn't deserve the great life he has, it's up to us to make things right." jeongguk blinked once. then twice. and then he slowly nodded. "y-yeah... he does deserve it." the teen says, coming to a decision. taehyung happily grinned, looking a little proud at the boy in his arms. "good boy." he says and jeongguk practically beams at the praise. he likes being praised. "you're going to continue being good for me, hmm?" the teen rapidly nodded up and down, and the older re-positoned them to get easier aim. "okay, just follow my lead." jeongguk let taehyung put his hands in the right grip around the gun, trying not to focus on taehyung's warm body heat. "now look through the viewer." jeongguk looked again. the man was standing now, talking on the phone and pacing around the office. "he moved." the teen says. "move with him. when you get a good shot, pull the trigger. you only get one chance, jeongguk. don't disappoint me." jeongguk almost frowned at how the older addressed him, he preferred the affectionate pet names. okay. one shot. he can do this. the man stopped pacing and placed a hand on his hip. then he turns around to look out the window, his expression looks irritated. "gotch'ya." jenogguk wickedly smiles, finger pressing down onto the trigger, making the gun powerfully jerk backwards. the bullet whizzes through the air, slicing through the glass and ripping right through the man's skull. jeongguk watched his success from the viewer, then moved back and looked at taehyung with the biggest bunny-smile plastered on his face. "hyung! i did it! i did it hyung!" the young boy cheered, jumping a little with excitement. adrenaline was coursing through his veins and his chest was rising and falling rapidly. he did it. and the proud look on taehyung's face just made everything better. so without a second thought, jeongguk jumped onto the older and crashed their lips together.
