Chapter 3: Many Ridiculous Rules

1297 Words
The ride to Taehyung's was quiet. Jeongguk tapped around on his phone, looking at memes with little interest. He was just trying to distract himself from the extremely intimidating male driving the car next to him. A large veiny tanned hand gripping the steering wheel, effortlessly turning with such grace it even held the younger captivated.¨ and before jeongguk knew it, they parked in some sort of big garage where several other vehicles stood. Taehyung got out, and quickly walked to the other side to open the door for the teen. Jeongguk was a little taken aback at the gesture, but just replied with an eyeroll as he climbed out. He followed the much taller figure out of the parking garage, silence enveloped them in the elevator as the older person punched the 'floor 9' button. The highest floor. "You live at the top, huh?" the teen found himself pointing out, the silence was kind of killing him and making him feel slightly awkward. Taehyung looked at the smaller boy, then tilted his head to the side with a glint of playfulness in his eyes. "Darling, I own this entire building." jeongguk's eyes widened, both at the shocking revelation and nickname. "W-what?" taehyung's melodic chuckle resonated in the small box space. And suddenly the teenager feels trapped between the walls, as if they were closing in on him. "You get so much money just for letting teenagers stay at your place? Damn, I should re-think my career choices." a jeongguk joked, a little sarcastically. "This is only a side-job, jeongguk.", Taehyung mentions. "I have a much better paying job otherwise." A mentioned the elevator dinged, and the two stepped out into large room. A living room. "Although, I do like to stay humble. I only use the top floor of the building, the first few ones are rented out for offices and things like that." the older person hung up his coat, and gestured for the younger to give him his. Jeongguk just made an 'ew' face and stomped right into the room, shoes on and all. Taehyung only tsked. Of course, the younger did this on purpose, he knew it would piss the taller male off. He smirked in victory when he heard the other's reaction. He slung his bag onto some sort of small table, and walked around the room. It was a pretty simple living room. A white fluffy carpet. A flat-screen TV, a nice broad white couch. A wooden coffee table decorated with a bouquet of flowers tucked into a glass vase. It looked normal. Which, for some reason, jeongguk wasn't expecting at all. "We need to have that talk now." the older person suddenly voiced, striding over to the open kitchen. He waved the younger one over, Jeonggu gave another eye roll but followed him. "What's the talk?" "There are rules."-the two males sat at the kitchen counter. Taehyung glided over a piece of paper to the teenager. The smaller picked it up in his dainty fingers, eyes skimming over the sheet. "Read them out for me, darling." taehyung rested his chin into the palm of his cheek, his elbow resting on the countertop, and he watched the younger, looking amused. "One; address your teacher appropriately." jeongguk's eyes looked at taehyung suspiciously before proceeding. "Refer to the teacher as either 'hyung' or 'sir' depending on the circumstances." the smaller boy whispered an 'in your f*****g dreams' but taehyung just decided to ignore the little protest. "Two; manners. Basic etiquette. Failing to follow your teacher's example and ending up disappointing your teacher will end in punishment," Jeongguk read. "Punishment? Whaaaat? You're going to make me go to some communities to clean up or some s**t?" he questioned, huffing in frustration. Damn, Jeongguk's accent really broke through that time. It randomly does that sometimes, but it made Taehyung grimace as it sounded like nails scratching on a chalkboard to him. "We are adding another rule. We are getting rid of that atrocious accent." He quickly grabbed a pen and jotted the sentence down at the bottom of the paper. "And for punishment, you'll find out a pun soon." Jeongguk rolled his eyes for the nth time. "Three; you need your teacher's permission to do absolutely anything. To leave the premises, to get food, to go to sleep, to go– this is f*****g bullshit." Jeongguk let out, thinking that the older male was crazy. "Just keep reading, darling." "Four; no swearing. Seriously?" Jeongguk just groaned, obviously not planning on following any of those ridiculous rules. "Five; no one knows about our relationship. Our disguise is that the teacher is your driver." Once again, Jeongguk looked up at Taeung, so he would elaborate. "Driver?" "if you ever want to go anywhere, and i allow it, i will be escorting you. It explains why i drop you off, pick you up, and drive you home", the taller man explained, eyes serious and blank. "What are you? My babysitter?" Jeongguk scoffed in disbelief. This was just absurd. "That's exactly what i am, Jeongguk, as well as your teacher," the tanned male stated. Jeongguk wanted to argue about it further, but it didn't really matter anyway, no way was he staying there for the next few months. "Six; you'll listen and do whatever your teacher tells you, no protests or complaints are allowed." the teen cringed. "Seven; don't go snooping around the house, don't ever be caught somewhere you know you shouldn't be." Okay, that just makes Jeongguk want to sneak around even more. "Eight; if any of these rules are broken, the teacher can punish the student in any way he sees fit. The student must accept the punishment without any resistance. If the student protests, the punishment will only get worse.""this is a f*****g joke," Jeongguk says. When he finishes reading out all eight rules, he tosses the white paper away. "Care, jeongguk. i might stop being nice if you keep breaching our contract." "contract?" "Your father signed the contract that allows me to do whatever i please with you. He gave full permission, Silly man, who doesn't read a contract before signing it?" the older person chuckled darkly, his mouth curved into a smile, but his eyes still remained as dead as ever. Jeongguk just shrugged. Absolutely oblivious of the dangerous situation he has fallen into. "Yeah, whatever." he muttered, picking at his fingernails. "Right, let's get you settled in." Taehyung got up from the stool, and walked over to Jeongguk's bag. The younger sprung up from his seat and followed the other. "Hey, what are you–" Jeongguk tried to ask before Taehyung grabbed his bag, zipped it open, then turned it around leaving all its contents scattered all over the ground. The teen's eyes grew wide as he saw his shirts and pants fluttering open, landing flatly onto the marble floor. But what he was worried about was the clear zipped bag that contained a large stash of weed along with his open packet of cigarettes that rolled across the floor. Money was also flying, waving and swaying back and forth in the air before elegantly touching the ground. jeongguk gulped. Taehyung used his foot to kick clothes away to get a better look at the forbidden items, a tsk falling from his lips as he examined the mess. With a graceful arch forward of his back, Taehyung picked up each of the items. Then he handed Jeongguk back his bag, only containing his clothes this time. A devilish smirk painted his thick set of lips, his sharply cut bangs falling a little over his eyes as his orbs menacingly gobbled the teen up with their intimidating stare. "Don't think you're so smart, darling. i am much, much smarter than you."
