It was a relief that I could convince Mel about my true intentions as I knew everything I worked for would be in vain if Father catches a whiff of her tantrums. Winter was somehow able to come up with an excuse to cover up and everyone seemed to adore her and praise her beauty. We were at each other's throat at all times but managed to make it look like we were flirting and her shamelessness was a blessing in disguise.
After the whole ritual and festivity was done I took two of my trusted men aside and assigned them to relay a message to Mel. We were to meet our secret rendezvous in the mansion after I manage to get past Winter and my Father but I met with something tempting when I stepped into my chambers.
