My thoughts were in a disarray when I noticed the alpha was speaking in parables and thought his intentions were clear when he warned me against Mel. I knew he wasn't shallow and was probably overseeing everything but my fears were soon negated as he spoke only of her devious ways and wary of her plans to seduce Damien.
I saw from his eyes, the love of a father and the protectiveness of a mother, Damien was lucky to have all this in just his father and I could tell that he was just looking out for Damien and though I pretended to be oblivious to the fact that Mel was being too close with Damien and trying to take him away from me, he assured me that she wasn't a good person.
