Damien’s POV
Father was serious with his royal declaration and now Zorach knows he stands a chance in being the alpha, it annoyed me and I began to contemplate getting the rude girl to be my mate just to acquire the throne or assassinate her and get the throne all by myself.
Father is intelligent; if she suddenly disappears he would suspect that it was my doing so it was out of my options. Mel had done tons of things for me; I couldn’t bring myself to abandon her in pursuit of the throne. I was frustrate and blamed it all on my stupid mate.
I just finished training and wanted to take a bath and I stripped my clothes down to my underpants when I heard a knock on the door. A maid announced that I had a guest who requested my audience with the permission of the alpha.
I yelled at her and threatened to kill her if she didn’t leave and I could feel her fear but all of a sudden the door burst open and the cause of all my misfortune walked in like she owns the place. My eyes widened in shock.
“Proud donkey, let’s get married, I agree to be your mate.” She proudly announced.
She waved her hand and all the guards and maids scrambled away, I looked at her in disbelief, she began to approach me while I retreated.
“Are you out of your mind?” I yelled.
“Yes, out of my mind for you.” She said dreamily.
“What?” I screamed.
“Ever since our encounter few nights ago, I can’t bring myself to stop thinking about you, you’re everywhere I turn to, in my head.” She said lowly.
She kept approaching me, I retreated until I hit the bedstead and fell on the bed which she climbed after me.
“Have you gone crazy or something? You can’t just come in here and do as you wish!” I reminded her.
“Why not? We’re mates, aren’t we? What’s wrong in being in my mate’s room? What? You can walk into my life, change everything but I can’t come into your chambers?” she asked sarcastically.
I was dumbfounded.
“Get out.” I said.
“No, your soft hair, your handsome face, your hoarse voice, your imposing and manly aura, your perfect physique, do you know the things they do to me?” She whispered.
“What?” I mouthed.
She had me pinned underneath her while she brought her face closer until it was barely an inch separating us, I could feel her breath on my body and I oddly saw how beautiful her eyes were.
She cleared her throat.
“You see, you’re always in my dreams doing things to me, you drive me crazy and.” She paused and stared down at my underpants and my face went red with embarrassment.
I turned to look away but she positioned my face directly opposite hers.
“Don’t be shy, we’re going to be this close after we get married.” She said and then eyed my underpants suggestively.
“Your face, your touch, your voice all turns me on.” She whispered into my ears and paused to look me in the eye.
I couldn’t hold the gaze as emotions began to course through me and my wolf was getting aroused.
“Really? I turn you on?” I asked stupidly.
“You turn me on to commit murder!” She growled and I got scared yanked her away and she landed on her feet; it seemed she had a good stamina.
She laughed loudly. I fiddled for a piece of clothing to cover myself.
“What are you doing here?” I asked loudly.
“To see my mate.” She said provocatively.
“Stop calling me that!” I yelled.
“Would you prfer proud donkey then?” She asked and wiggled her eyebrows.
“What?” I was petrified.
“Get out.” I ordered.
“We need to talk.” She said with all seriousness.
“Whatever it is, get out of here before anyone sees you.” I said.
“Don’t worry; I have the alpha’s permission to do this.”
“Wait, you’ve met my Father?”
“I’m very serious with you.” She joked.
“Shut up!”
“We’re getting married, tonight.” She announced.
I felt my head spin.
“What are you talking about?”
“I didn’t stutter, did I?”
“I don’t know what stupid thought is going on in your head but we are not getting married, I have a girl I am in love with and I’m going to marry her.”
“Break up with her.”
“What?”
“The girl.”
“Look, don’t think you can walk in here and spew nonsense because I can slit your throat…” I threatened but she charged towards me and pinned me to the wall in the blink of an eye.
“Look, I do not care about you or your stupid entitled egoistic attitude or your whatnot woman, I’m on the brink of losing everything that ever mattered to me all because I rejected you and the only way to get it back is by marrying you, I do not care if you love me or not, I hate you and your stupid ugly face so I went to the alpha and told him we’re getting married this evening and I swear by the gods that if you dare to flop this I will rip out your intestines and feed them to you, I have nothing to do with you and this union is in name only, nothing more or less, do you understand?” She threatened.
I gulped in nervously and nodded my head, she then let me go. I sighed and it crossed my mind that since she proposed that the union was in naming alone it would be a good way to fool my father.
“How am I sure that you’re telling the truth?” I asked.
“I’m not like you.” She threw back.
Fair enough, I cleared my throat.
“I have my own conditions as well; don’t expect anything from me, ever.” I said sternly.
“Deal.” She agreed.
“I have tons of conditions, but that will come after t5he deal is sealed.” She added.
I opened my moth to speak but was interrupted by an envoy who ‘brought the ceremonial wedding dress’ and came ‘to escort my bride-to-be’ to dress her up. I consented to it while the girl went with them. She gave me a knowing look and left.
