Damien's POV
We emerged from the woods half an hour later as Winter wanted others to think we were making out or something while in real sense we just sat opposite each other, doing anything except make any form of interaction. I was tempted to talk to her, for a moment there when she was speaking to Mel I could feel her energy, she was the sassy Winter that I knew but now that we are alone, she defaulted to being moody and aloof.
"Let's go." She muttered as she rose to her feet.
"Where?" I asked, curiously.
"To be with the others."
"Isn't it a bit too soon?"
She arched an eyebrow and cackled.
"Moments ago, you wanted to be as far as possible away from me and now you're hesitant to leave?" She asked, sarcastically.
"No, I just thought it's a bit soon to you know, return." I explai
