Maxten's POV The alarm went off on my phone telling me it was time to go get Kenzley. I had barely gotten any work done today because my brain had thought about Lyla. I wanted to move all of my stuff to her meeting room. When I took her lunch, she looked like she was going to drop on her feet, which meant she would sleep tonight. Maybe. I walked to the meeting room and when I opened the door to tell her that we needed to leave, I was surprised to see that her lunch was sitting on the table with like three bites out of it and the rest sat untouched, but that wasn't super surprising, but what was, is the fact that she was f*****g gone.
