Carter brought his hands to his head and grasped his hair tightly. He felt upset, disappointed, and tired.
"You," he pointed at her with his finger, but the words wouldn't come out of his mouth; they were stuck like steel daggers, causing pain.
Yes, he had caused her too much harm, but he had done everything thinking she was someone else. He didn't know; he married her without loving her for a purpose that got mixed up, yes. But don't human beings make mistakes?
"When I told you that you could do whatever you wanted with your life, I said it without meaning. I was so excited about the arrival of those children into my life that I blinded myself. But the reality is, if you're with another man, I'll die," his voice broke.
