Kelsea's POV
I was very surprised to see my grandfather awake, but what surprised me even more was realizing that, because of so much medication, he couldn't move much of his body, and he couldn't speak very well. Cooper explained that he brought him because the doctor suggested he be with his family and needed a full-time nurse. I hugged him tightly for a long time and told him how much I loved him. Carter was with me the whole time, and I could see my grandfather's agreement on his face. I don't know how to explain it, but I could feel he was happy to see us together.
