Monday evening
QUENTIN AND MR. Wilson returned to the house, and Mr. Wilson excused himself to join his wife in the guest room. Quentin found Nate at his desk in the den with an open textbook in front of him.
“Getting ready for tomorrow?” Quentin said.
“Just checking a couple of points I want to emphasize in class tomorrow.”
“Your grandparents are lying down.”
“I know.”
“They’re probably going to be out of it for at least an hour.”
“I know.”
“Doesn’t that give you any ideas?” Quentin said.
“Well… now that you mention it—”
Nate closed the textbook, rose from the desk, and followed Quentin upstairs to the master suite, where they had a long and mutually satisfying session in their bed. Later, they were showered, changed, and sitting in the living room
