  "That's bullshit!" I slid my phone into my pocket without breaking eye contact. "Somewhere in that head of yours, you know it specifically wasn't my doing. You were hungry for it and you ran solo."   He dragged the tip of the gun along his temple as I turned away, staring back at the mirror. His reflection stood unmoving behind mine. The harsh light splayed across his fair skin like an olive cast that made the blue of his eyes feel colder.   "Besides, this family runs on perception. Mine included.
