Without even looking to the side, I hit his shoulder. Hard.
I've been trying to get a hold of him all day. Calling, messaging, and mind-linking him, nothing and stressing around. I had been getting me and Astrid ready for the evening, not even knowing if he would show up. Making sure everything was ready for the event, double checking all bookings, food orders, and drinks. Getting hold of new waiters after a few fell sick.
Then he shows up now? When his father is holding the final speech where he is supposed to introduce us. I'm going to whop his ass after this. What the hell had been so freaking important. However, judging from his mother's glares in his direction, I know he is going to get it handed to him.
