“Njord,” I called out. My friend could not hear me over the furnace and banging of his hammer. “Njord!” He stopped his hammer looking up at me with a smile. “Glad to see you're up and walking about. Did you sleep well?” “Indeed, I did.” Piles of arrows were strewn about the outside of the forge. Njord had been working tirelessly on arrow heads, while the other men shaved down wood for the stingers and attached the feathered fletching. Njord carried large black circles under his eyes and I doubted that he had slept during the night. “And you, brother?
