Chapter Six

Nia p.o.v
Today is the first day in weeks I'm leaving this room. Its 90° today so I'm going to go swimming in the pool backyard. I put on a yellow bikini and go downstairs, I think I'm the only one in the house. I open the patio doors and walk outside, I go to the pool but I walk in slowly. When I'm finally in there I here somebody start talking.
"You finally came out," They said.
I turn around and see a stranger.
"Do I know you?" I asked.
"Oh yea, I'm Kendrick Trey and Tanya cousin," He said.
"Its nice to meet you, I'm Nia," I said.
"Sorry for your loss," He said.
"Thanks," I whispered.
"Umm well Trey said he will be back in a few," He said.
Well let me describe dude. He has caramel skin, he had dreads, pearly whites, hazel eyes, tattoos, abs, 6'1, and he had muscles.
"Okay," I said.
I started swimming in the pool. I came back up and see the most ugliest girl. She was skinny, she had bright blue hair, she was dark skin, she had yellow/white teeth, brown eyes, 5'9, and she had a rose tattoo.
"Baby why are you out here?" She asked.
This is his girlfriend? I did a low chuckle so they didn't hear me.
"I was checking on Nia," He said.
"Oh so your the one Trey has been talking about," She said. "I'm sorry for your loss."
"Thanks," I said.
"Ivy," She said.
"Thanks Ivy," I said.
"I see you met my cousin and his girlfriend," Trey said walking outside.
"Yea," I said.
"So Nia I was wondering if you would like to go out tonight," Ivy said.
"No thank you, I n-need to go now," I said and got out the water.
I walked passed them, and walk upstairs and locked the door. I started crying. Get yourself together, you have 3 weeks until Thanksgiving, so prepare yourself. My conscious is right, I wipe my tears. Sydney sent me a message telling me we have to go to some all white party. So I picked out a white lace splicing cutout back dress, white leather heels, diamond earrings, and I put my light brown hair in a bun with a braid. My makeup was grey eye shadow, mascara, light blush, and clear lipstick. I grab my white clutch and go downstairs when I walked down Trey and Kendrick jaw dropped and Ivy rolled her eyes.
"I thought you said you wasn't going out," Ivy said.
"Well I wasn't, but Sydney said I have to go to this all white party," I said.
"Who is Sydney?" Kendrick asked.
"My best friend and I own my company with her," I said.
"Oh," Kendrick said.
"Well have fun tonight," Trey said.
He came over and embraced me in his arms. It was the first time we touched in weeks. I kissed his cheek which then led to a kiss.
"Maybe you should stay in," he whispered in my ear.
I chuckled and gave him another kiss.
"We can have all the fun you want when I get back," I said.
I left out and went to my car. When I pulled up to Sydney's house you could see a lot was going on. I had walked in and there were people everywhere in white. I finally seen Sydney due to her signature red hair. I walked up to her and when she seen me she hugged me.
"I thought you weren't going to come," She said.
"I needed to get some fresh air," I said.
"So quick question are you and Trey together?" She asked.
"Yes," I said.
"Okay," She said.
She grabbed my arm and pulled me over to this group of people.
"Hey," They said unison.
"Hey y'all this my best friend and also my business partner Nia," Sydney said.
"Hey," I said.
"So your the famous Nia that she always talk about," A girl said.
"Yea she is," Sydney said. "Umm this is Lola."
She had red hair, green eyes, freckles, caucasian, about 5'8. I know I'm 5'5 but these heels make me 5'9.
"This is her boyfriend Philip," She said.
He had black hair, blue eyes, caucasian, he was 6'2.
"And this is Brandon," She said.
He had a taper, brown eyes, black, muscles, tattoos, 6'1, pearly whites, and he looked my age.
"Well I'm going to get something to drink, you coming?" She asked.
"Yea," I said.
I already know Lola and Philip talking about me in they head and I don't know what Brandon thinking about. We walked over to this table they had a lot of drinks. Which one is water? I picked up the right glass.
"Nia," A voice said.
"Michael," I said.
We hugged.
"How are you?" I asked.
"Good, play for the Miami Heat now," He said.
"Good for you, me and Sydney own the stores fabulous," I said.
"How is everybody else?" He asked.
"Trey is a lawyer, Vince is a doctor, Kylie owns a dance studio, Darren is a teacher," I said.
"How about we go outside and catch up," He said with a smile.
"Sure," I said.
We go outside and sit on a bench.
"So how are Darren and Kylie?" He asked.
"Well they have 4 kids including Imani but he cheated on her and now they aren't engaged," I said.
"Damn for real," He said.
"Yup," I said.
"What about Sydney and Vince?" He asked.
"They have a daughter and are happily married," I said.
"So last but not least you and Trey?" He asked.
"Me and Trey had a daughter but I had a miscarriage, I was 5 months this is the first time I came out since she died and we are together" I said tearing up.
Good thing I wore waterproof mascara.
"Its okay Nia let it all out," He said and hugged me.
I started crying and crying and his hug made me feel better. I stopped a little while.
"I messed up your shirt," I said and chuckled.
"It was worth it and tomorrow you can just buy me one," He said.
"So were going to the mall?" I asked.
"Yes Nia were going to the mall," He said.
I squealed and hugged him.
"I have to pick out a whole new outfit for you and me," I said.
"And after that we can have lunch," He said with a smile.
"Yea we can have lunch," I said.
"So I will pick you up at 10," He said.
"How do you know where I live?" I asked.
"The internet," He said.
"You creep," I said.
"Don't judge you probably be going on the internet looking at my pictures of me, my muscles, and abs," He said.
"I did one time," I said.
"But its cool because I be looking at your ass," He said.
I rolled my eyes.
"But let me get your number," He said.
"Phone," I said.
We exchanged numbers.
"Okay so I will see you tomorrow," He said.
"Yea tomorrow," I said.
We hugged and he kissed my cheek. Sydney came up to me with Lola and the other two.
"Who is that?" She asked.
"Michael from school," I said.

"Time has done him real good then,• She said.
"I know right, but I think I'm going to go home," I said.
"Okay Brandon will just take me home," She said and we hugged goodbye.
I got to my car and drove to Trey house to get my stuff. All the lights are off, I hope I don't die tonight. Pray for me y'all. I walk in and shut the door, I heard a glass break. But I was walking slowly then I seen a figure at the bottom of the steps taking each step one by one so I was on the second to last one. I run to Trey room and lock the door, I grab a knife, bat, and gun. Always stay protected! I change into some gym shoes and put all my clothes in a duffel bag. I heard the door open, damn!
"Nia," They said in a creepy voice.
I start shaking so I grab the bat and wait for them to come around the corner once they did I hit them with the bat, I ran downstairs. I was a foot away from the door but no some motherfucker wanna pull my hair. So I stab them like 2 or 3 times. I run outside and get in my car and drive home. I walk in and make sure nobody is in my house except for me. I do my hygiene stuff and take off the make up, I had blood on my hands so I wash that off and clean the knife. I lock all my doors, windows, everything, Sydney should have a key and go to sleep.
