Chapter 4

SAPPHIRE'S POV:

'Pregnant' I repeated In my mind as I heard the Alpha's mother say.

"Pregnant!? what nonsense is this?" My mother retorted. "She isn't pregnant, no Alpha has touched my princess in such way."

"How can you be sure or are you trying to ignore the fact that she's right? didn't you see the way she ran up stairs and locked her room?" The Alpha's father added. "Why did she lock her room?"

"Come to think of it... why did your daughter lock the door to her room?"

"She must have done it by mistake." My mother was confident with her words, she had so much trust in me. But unbeknownst to her, I'd already got into a mix up with a man I barely knew.

What if I'm actually pregnant, I haven't eaten anything that would result to this.

Or perhaps I haven't been eating properly? Is that what caused this?

"No. I'm calling The doctor right now, I can't afford to have my son father a child that isn't it." I heard the Alpha's father say.

"What?! Tell your daughter to come out now before I break down the door!". Father shouted at mother with no remorse.

"Calm down---"

"Calm, how do.you expect me to be calm! what if she's actually pregnant?!"

"My daughter is not pregnant! and that's final."

"You have so much trust in your daughter don't you? let's hope you're right about what you're saying or might have you both thrown out of the house!"

"Is that supposed to be a threat?" my words filled the air and ignited a little fear in my mother. If only I could tell her what happened a week ago.

What if I told her, would she understand? no, I should have told her earlier but who knew something like this would happen?

"Why did you lock the door?!" My father roared at me, I'd expected better, but probably because of the guest.

"It was a mistake, father."

"A mistake?"

"You better tell me why you had that sudden reaction. Is there something you're not telling me?"

"No father, I'm perfectly okay." I lied. "Nothing is wrong with me. Stop trying to humiliate me with every chance you get."

I can't count on anyone to support me. I will just have to do this on my own.

"It's no use." I heard the Alpha's mother say. "The doctor isn't needed. We don't even need a doctor to confirm this. We already know you're pregnant, it's obvious. Look at her eyes."

My mother grabbed my face and did looked me up with keen eyes.

How, just how do I get out of this?

"Sapphire, are you pregnant?"

I myself I'm unsure, I don't know if truly I'm pregnant.

"Mother, please, I don't know."

Just then, the reaction came again, I rushed back in and slammed the door shut!

I threw up the second time and an uproar occurred outside my room. Both sides were in an argument. The fact that I was pregnant brought about a break in their pact.

I couldn't face them, even though I couldn't face them, my father stormed into my room and was forced out. I was dragged downstairs and thrown outside of the house.

Insults fell from different corners upon me. My mother could only stay out of this as my father humiliated me.

Everyone stopped to look and pointed her fingers.

"Fa---" A vigorous slap kissed my cheek. My father became heartless at that moment and turned me to the rags on the streets.

"Don't you ever call me Father, you are dead to me! If you ever want to become my daughter again, then you must perish the thought of having this child!. Get rid of it!."

I gasped. Was that how cruel this man was? I should abort an innocent that hasn't done him any wrong?

"No. I will keep this soul that you detest so much and raise him up when he comes into this world."

My father didn't hesitate to slap me across the cheek before abandoning me outside the house.

My world turned upside at that moment. Everything that had transpired brought a sad ending to my life with my parents.

Everyone started to mutter words, fingers pointed with cruel words shot like bullets..

"Wasn't she the one that Alpha Riley rejected?'

"She's pregnant already, just look at her, she's a bad example for our girls at home."

"She should be burnt alive for this treacherous act!."

I got on my feet and tried to escape the monstrosity I was surrounded by.

I crashed into Riley and Stephanie along the way, the both of them looked so happy and blissful in each others arms.

My heart skipped, they laughed and made mockery of me.

"I guess you got what you deserved." Stephanie smiled with bad intents.

"I'm lucky I didn't end up with someone like you." Riley added. "Who knew you could cause so much trouble."

I couldn't say a word to them, I left them instead and wandered away. It was long until the news about me circulated in the community.

Names were shot at me, countless things about me were said.

"I wonder who the father is."

"Perhaps the father doesn't even care avoid them, she must have done something horrible in her previous life."

There is no use even finding the father of my child.

My Alpha rejected me.

The whole world rejected me.

My parents rejected me.

Who am I to think the father of my unborn child will accept me.

I will have to strive for myself and my baby alone. Nothing can stop me,not even this community.

But first thing first, I need to relocate, find somewhere that my baby can grow up in without having to face the heartless souls this community inhibits.

Few years passed and life settled down a bit for me. I had given birth to a baby girl; Dawn.

We had settled down in a different community. That was the plan at first, to get away from the horrors that my home town blemished me with.

I only hope to live a decent life from here henceforth.

I want nothing to do with the past, all I want is just my baby girl and nothing more.
