"Dad, it's pretty clear that Sophie had a hand in all of this," whispered Daniel Mitchell, as Joseph Mitchell pondered the situation.
"Sophie," Joseph began, "be honest with all of us. Were you involved in the previous incident? We just want the truth. Given your recent achievements, I promise not to hold it against you."
Hearing this, Sophie felt as though the rug had been pulled out from under her. One moment the Mitchell family was celebrating with her, and the next, they were pointing fingers. She never expected such a rapid change of heart.
"Grandfather," Sophie began, her voice filled with passion, "I swear I had nothing to do with the previous contract termination. And even if I did, it ended up being beneficial for us, didn't it? They even added another 20 million!"
