Lian stepped closer, looking very angry, and clenched his fists, but he stopped himself and did not touch her.
"Go ahead, you want to shout at me? Continue, maybe you will be happy, maybe there you will feel true happiness, you know? You have everything eh, money, wealth and other properties, but remember this, as long as you are like that, you will never experience true happiness, because for the rest of your life you will be eaten by the anger that possessed you," Crishane said.
Lian lowered his head.
"What do you know about my life?" Lian said quietly.
"You know you are also intentionally making your life hard, because you know yourself that your mother has no fault, you just pour your anger on her about yourself, because you know you are blaming yourself for what happened before, but you just don't want to admit it to yourself, and because of that you became a coward to face and accept the conscience you carry, so this is the only thing I will repeatedly tell you, as long as you are like that, you will never be happy," Crishane said and left Lian and entered her room, while Gian stood up and walked towards his room but passed by touching Lian's shoulder and looked at him and went straight to his room.
Lian doesn't understand what he feels, so he got wine and brought it outside the house beside the door to drink.
It was night and Crishane was about to sleep but she went out to the kitchen to get water but she noticed the door was open so she approached it and was about to close it but she noticed there seemed to be a person outside, so when she went out she saw Lian seeming to be emotional and drinking wine, but Lian was not yet drunk because he didn't want to get drunk and Crishane approached him and also sat down.
"What are you doing here?" Lian said, with a little tears in his eyes.
"I was supposed to close the door but you are here," Crishane said.
"Crishane, why are you like that to me? Why do you make my life so hard, I am your boss right, why don't you want to follow what I want, why are you so naughty?" Lian said calmly and Crishane noticed Lian's tears falling while he continued drinking.
"Sir, because I feel sorry for your mother, she didn't intend what happened before eh," Crishane said.
"She really told you huh," Lian said.
"Yes Sir, she told me everything, and the reason why you are angry with her," Crishane said.
"You don't understand me, because you never had a best friend," Lian said.
"I also had," Crishane said but she couldn't continue because Lian answered immediately.
"But you haven't lost one, right?" Lian asked.
But Crishane couldn't tell the truth so she just went along with what Lian thought.
"I understand you Sir, I know it's painful for you, but your friend, he was only part of your life sometimes, but a mother, can never be compared to people who only come to your life sometimes," Crishane said.
Lian didn't answer and continued drinking.
"A friend, sometimes we love them too, but we are not sure if that love will not change, but a mother, their love for us will never change or end," Crishane said.
"Why are you like that to me?" Lian asked.
"Sir, I just want to open your eyes as soon as possible," Crishane said.
"What do you mean?"
"You were so hurt by the death of your friend, right Sir?"
"Why?"
"How about if your own mother disappears from you? Can your conscience handle wasting the time that you should be happily together? That you should pour your love to her while she is still here in the world?" Crishane said.
Lian sighed and wiped his tears using his hands.
"We children, sometimes we become selfish, that sometimes we say our parents don't love us, but we don't realize that from the time we were in our mother's womb, they already loved us until we were born, while we are growing up sometimes we become naughty but our mother understands that because they love us, but we don't know that, we don't even realize that now that we are big we should be the ones taking care of them, we don't even think to repay their hardships before in taking care of us," Crishane explained softly.
Crishane approached and gently asked him to look at her. Lian faced her and Crishane noticed Lian's eyes were red from crying.
"Sir Lian, you are a good person, don't let because of the pain you feel here," Crishane pointed to Lian's chest, "you will let your conscience eat you," Crishane added.
"Okay Sir, I will sleep now," Crishane said and gently patted Lian's shoulder.
Lian still couldn't speak and Crishane left and went back to her room to sleep.
---
The next morning when Lian woke up, he went down from his room and went to the living room, he found Gian and Crishane playing chess and they seemed to be laughing while playing.
"You are noisy," Lian said and the two looked. Lian went straight to the kitchen.
"Crishane give me breakfast," Lian called while sitting in the kitchen.
"Yes Sir, there it is," Crishane answered and went to the kitchen.
While Crishane was preparing breakfast, the two were silent but Lian was looking at Crishane when Crishane was not looking and Crishane also looked at Lian but they were quiet.
"Crishane, are you not done there?" Gian called.
"Done already," Crishane said and placed Lian's food on the table and left and went to Gian in the living room. Lian just ate.
One day while Crishane was washing dishes, she was wearing earphones and singing along to the music she was listening to.
~ Wherever you go ~ whatever you do ~
I will be right here waiting for you ~
Crishane didn't notice that while she was singing, Lian was at the kitchen door watching her.
"What are you doing?"
"Ay kabayo," she was shocked and suddenly stopped and looked.
"Why do you scare me Sir?" Crishane added while breathing deeply.
"Do you really need to sing while washing dishes?"
"Ho?"
"And didn't I tell you, it's okay to sing, just not that song," Lian said.
Crishane was silent.
"Why because out of many songs you can sing, you still sing that," Lian said.
"Sorry Sir, it won't happen again," Crishane said.
"It really won't happen again, because if this happens again, I will really get annoyed," he said and went upstairs to his room.
Crishane just continued her work.
Crishane has a talent in singing. Her voice is beautiful and calm when she sings, and in fact she is also good at guitar. Lian also learned guitar from her because she taught him when they were kids, but Lian stopped and avoided anything about music since they were separated from each other, because the pain that Lian felt before returns, caused by what he thought was the death of Anne (Crishane's former name).
One day while Crishane was alone at home, there was a sudden knock outside, so she approached and opened it, and a woman appeared before her eyes, shoulder-length short hair, medium height, sexy black dress.
She suddenly entered and went straight to the living room.
"Where's Lian?" she asked while sitting on the sofa.
"He's still at work, do you want coffee? Or juice?" Crishane offered.
"No thanks, Lian is what I need," the woman said.
"He hasn't arrived yet," Crishane said.
"It's okay, I will just wait, and I'll make sure he's about to come home, right?" Crishane nodded.
"Wait, you are?" the woman asked.
"Crishane," Crishane answered.
"When did Lian arrive here?" the woman asked.
"Maybe five months already," Crishane said.
"What!!! He's been here for 5 months and he didn't even tell me?" the woman shouted. Crishane didn't answer.
"Who came with him here?" the woman asked.
"Me and..." Crishane didn't continue because she suddenly remembered Lian's instruction that they need to pretend to be husband and wife.
