Maverick
It was getting close to nightfall, and my brothers and I were out camping. Or should I say taking a weekend in nature to try and combat Brick's Alpha going feral. I mean, we're on the Omega registry, but with each passing year, Brick loses control of his Alpha a little more. An Omega couldn't come soon enough. However, alphas out number omegas 10 to 1. So it's really common for an alpha to go feral waiting for an Omega. A lot of Alphas end up mating a beta to avoid feral sickness. Yet our pack has never been able to agree on a partner. There were a couple of male omegas that partially matched our pack. Unfortunately, only two of us swing that way, so we declined the matches. I am the head off of my pack and we have a total of five members there is the twins Ace and Hades Collins those two manage to keep me on my toes with all the trouble they get into. Yet when it comes to missions, there is no one I trust more to have my back. Next, there is Lance Arthur Pennington aka Penn his parents were very obsessed with Renaissance and King Arthur. Lance may not be an alpha. However, he is one of the toughest betas I have ever seen, and he balances us perfectly. Like most betas, he has a knack for knowing the right thing to say he's definitely a smooth talker, and the notches on his bed post definitely show it. Next, there is Brick Edgar Rodriguez he is as big as he is deadly, and let's just say he's a monstrosity of an alpha however he is the biggest teddy bear you will ever meet as long as you don't piss him off.
So I had left the campsite in search of firewood, but about three logs in caught a whiff of the most Heavenly smell. It smelled like a strawberry rhubarb pie on a midsummer day overshadowed by sulfur that kind of reminded me of fireworks and with a better metallic edge that I unfortunately knew too well as the smell of blood. So dropping the logs in a neat pile so I can come back for them in a bit I decided to investigate the smell. As I got closer the smell of blood got stronger. When I finally reached the source my heart stopped from what looked like in Omega in a shallow grave. Even worse she smelled like mine. Without even thinking I scooped up the little wisp of an Omega and took off at a run back to the campsite terrified that her heart would stop beating before I reached the campsite. I sent a prayer to every single God I could think of praying the gods would look out for her.
When I was within hearing range of the campsite, I started shouting for the guys to hurry up and run for the truck. Thankfully my my brothers always trust me and I'm guessing they could hear the slight panic in my voice needless to say they were able to pack up the camp in record time and get back to the truck before I even came into view. The truck was already running with my brothers loaded in when I arrived at the truck and wretched the door open and jumped in and barked hospital now. The shock of my brother's faces was no surprise, and I could see the moment that each of them caught her scent and from the looks of it she was a perfect scent match for each of them. However, her condition said all of us on edge her heart was barely beating, and she was bleeding from her head. We couldn't find it it also seemed that she had a couple of bullet wounds. The one in the chest being the most concerning Lance being our team medic and also a doctor started working on her immediately he tore her and her short open as I ripped mine off to you try to use the stop the bleeding on her chest brick also removed his shirt and handed it to me so I could use it for her head. The nearest hospital was a minimum of 30 minutes away however crazy Ace was behind the wheel and managed the drive in 20 minutes.
While we were driving I demanded Hades pull out his phone and dial 911 and then put it on speaker I informed the operator that I had found in Omega in a shallow grave and then told the operator which hospital we were headed to thankfully an officer managed to get in front of us when we arrived at Town so we could use his lights and Sirens to get to the hospital being able to speed and not having to stop for lights. As Ace pulled up to the emergency room entrance, I hopped out before the vehicle it even stopped rushing into the ER, the officer and my pack hot on my tail. Yet I could only really focus on the amazing smelling woman in my arms. Unfortunately, it seems her scent was calling to every alpha in the place. A team rushed over with a gurney that I gently placed her on. The beta doctors quickly took over, treating the tiny Omega assessing her wounds, and yes, there was more than we saw, but the worst seemed to be the one on her head. After they finished imagining her and taking a couple of photos for the police investigation. They took her into surgery and told us it would be a couple of hours before surgery would be done that is if she didn't die on the table.
Luckily, the officer was one we knew and had worked with frequently as we contracted for the government on a regular basis. we work with local law enforcement from time to time. So I gave the officer my statement arranged for Lance and Brick to stay with the Omega while me and the twins a team of officers back to the campsite so I could show them where I found her so they can look for clues and hopefully some casings anything that might need us back to whoever did this to her. My inner Alpha letting out a ferocious girl at the thought of whoever hurt that little Omega. I mean, it just makes my blood boil that someone could ever do this to an Omega. I mean I know it happens and then we work the cases ourselves it's part of what we contract for rescue missions for omega's although it's getting harder and harder and they're getting better at covering their tracks. Whoever dumped her hair had to have been a beta or using extremely strong scent blockers. The three of us stayed and fanned out, trying to help the officers look for clues. However, luck was just not on her side it was like she fell out of the sky and couldn't find tracks or clues in any direction it was infuriating.
This means the only option for information was going to be the most likely terrified Omega. It is well known that omegas are very soft timid beings it's why the laws prevent them from entering public areas before they are bonded. Don't worry, it's not like we keep them locked up like what used to happen years ago. No, nowadays, most cities have a fully secured Omega shopping area that is a no Alpha Zone. If an alpha gets caught trying to enter these Zones it's an automatic 30 days in jail for the first offense and then it gets more strict from there with each offense getting more and more harsh of a punishment. And yes, we need harsh punishments because it's the only way to protect the omegas. Yet even with all the protections that we have nowadays, a lot of Omega still fall through the cracks me and kidnapped and sold off to be forced bonded or worse. Unfortunately me and my brothers have seen the worst of humankind over the years, and things that we have seen done too omegas would make even the strongest person stomach turn. After hours of searching, me and the twins headed back to the hospital now that we had found our fated mate our perfect scent match we could only wait for her to hopefully wake up and pray we could convince her to let us court her
