The weekend went by fast after that. Stephen surpise me by getting my truck fix and having it brought here before monday. "Getting you is a pain in the ass" Stephen said throwing a pillow at me. What he didn't know I was already awake. I already been to the school, did my morning training and fulled up my truck. Thankfully this is my last in high school then its off to college. Don't get me wrong I love my family and we're on good terms I just wanted to explore the human world for a little bit. "I'm up" Isaid throwing the pillow back at him. "Then hurry up and get ready for school, so you can eat breakfast before school." he said throwing the pillow on the ground walking away. Between him and my mom cooking I'll get fat. I love their cooking. Getting up I ran the water for the shower before brushing my teeth. The water was still a little cold when I got in it, but I had no time to complain about it. After 20 minutes I was out the shower ready for the day. Before leaving I'd check my mirror one last time before grabbing my backpack. "Ready?" I asked Kira. "I guess" She said yawning. Sighing I shut my door and jumped on the railing slide down to the kitchen. He already had my plate waiting for me on the table. "Took you long enough" he said with a smirk. "You love me" I said. "I have to" he replied. "d**k" I said throwing my fork at him. "I was just kidding" he said holding his hands up. He knew making me mad isn't wise especially when the second person that can be him in a fight. My mom is number 1. "You were hungry" he said handing me another plate and fork. "I guess" I said after I finish the second plate. Iwas heading to the door when he yelled my name. "What" I said. "Do you have the necklace" he asked. The necklace he's talking about is the one that limits my powers. I do have powers outside Kira's. The seal on my back is what keeps me from shifting. "Yeah I got it" I said showing it to him. "Okay but don't cause too much trouble we have to figure what's going on here" he said. "Long as they don't test me" I said walking out the door. "Please" he said. "He never says please" Kira said. "I know" I said unlocking my truck. I wasn't driving long when I saw Maxine walking to school. "An Alpha daughter walking to school. I bet her brother isn't walking" Kira said. "You know he's not. I notices she isn't well like and only loved by her mother and a few other people" I told her. Rolling down my window I asked "Do you need a ride"? I have to admit she is cute and sweet. It didn't take me long to catch up to her and put her over my shoulders. She was pouting the whole way back. "Should of just got in" I said placing her in the truck. I got in the driver side placing it in drive. "You should smile more" I said after awhile. "Why" she asked. "It makes you look cuter" I said. She was blushing. We were pulling up at school I notices her looking like she about to paniac. "It'll be okay" I said patting her knee. "I hope so" she said. "Don't be. If she didn't come there would of been a fight. I hate when people walk up to me demanding answers" I said unbuckling. I appericate them looking out for me, but I can protect myself. "They don't know how strong we are it'll blow our cover. It's cute how much she care" Kira said. As we got out I could feel people staring like their life depends on it. The group I met friday was glaring. By that time Maxine was hiding behind me. I'm starting to get why her mother asked me to protect her. A guy walked up and said "Nice truck". "Thanks" I replied. "By the way I'm Jake and you must be Dvonne the one everyone is talking about" he said holding his hand out. I shook it. "So it true what they say that you have a powerful grip. So rude of them to say especially since they never been there. I bet half of them wouldn't survive or run home crying. Stephen will have fun breaking them. "Look at the losers" Brittany said as we walked by. Stopping I looked her in the face and said "If I'm an loser you're hoe." I didn't give her the chance to say anything before walking off. "Are you behaving" Stephen asked me when he caught up. "Barely" I said. "Why" he asked. This time Jake answered "Karen and her group of friends called us loser and sahe called her an hoe." Stephen didn't look happy and he noticed Maxine was holding on to me. Her scent was driving me crazy, but I'm not sure she my mate. The rest of the day went by with no trouble, but it was also boring because I had to introduce myself too many times. After school I asked if Stephen would train with me. "Ready" he asked. "Yeah" I said. "We won't be long cause I know you have homework to do" He said. Spar for about an hour and I was tired. That was rare. "You're off" he told me. "Sorry" I said jumping into my truck. He was already at my door looking at me with concern in his eyes. "Are you okay?" he asked. "I'm fine. Just need time to think" I said. "You're worry about her" Kira said. "Can you blame me" I countered. "No. I don't think you'll have to worry long" she said. I was confused until Stephen said "Hi Maxine." She was in my passenger seat smiling. Than I heard the back of my truck moved. "Looks like your friends are here" Stephen said. "See you at home" I said. He nodded and headed to his truck. We dropped off Jake first since he was closer. "Do you need a ride in the morning" I asked. "If you want" he said. "Just text me" I said. It was just me and Maxine. "Why are you so nice to me" she asked. There was something about that makes me want her around.
