350 Words
It was Christmas morning and I couldnt get to my hometown intime for Christmas. I wanted to see my family but the next flightwas three days after Christmas. I sighed, I really missed my family but I was glad that I moved toLA. LA was really fun when I was with my friends. We would scream outsong lyrics and try to get kicked out of stores. I missed them. Theyleft last week to see their families because they also had to go tomeet with their boyfriends as well. I put on my favorite jacket and purple converse and opened the door. I shivered at the suddencoldness. I decided to walk to the nearest coffee shop. It was cheap but had amazing coffee. I was a regular customer so Rob, the owner, was there. "You want your regular Y/N?" he asked. I nodded," add a chocolate chip peppermint cookie to that as well please," I said grabbing out mywallet. "$3.75, please" he smiled. I handed him a 5 dollar bill, "keep the change." "Thank you, it will be right out," he smiled warmly. I nodded and sat down in my regular booth towards the back. A few minutes later, he brought out my order. I nodded at him. I got out my phone and started working on my writing while quietly singing a song to myself. "You have a beautiful voice," I heard an unfamiliar voice say. I looked up and seen a very attractive guy. "Im Jonah," he said sticking out his hand. "Y/N, and thank you," I replied blushing as I shook his hand. "Well, I gotta go meet up with some friends, call me?" he hands me a piece of paper before standing upand going out the door. I looked at the paper,***-***-**** Call me sometime cutie ;) -Jonah Marais❤ Maybe not going home this Christmas was fate. I thought.
