Hunter laughed softly, finding Ms Thompson’s statement amusing.
He had a nagging feeling that there was an underlying to the old lady’s words. However, he did not want to assume without proper context.
After all, he did not really have a close relationship with the old teacher.
“But somehow, I see you haven’t changed at all?” he spoke ingratiatingly.
“You and your words…” Ms Thompson giggled, putting both her hands on her cheeks.
“I mean it!” Hunter convinced, smiling widely.
“Silly! I must go now. This weather is not very good for my joints. Bonnie was so adamant about coming here so I just dropped her off.”
“I heard they promised to play together tonight. Morgan was very excited about it,” Iris stated, feeling bad for the old woman.
