Lilian P.O.V.
“She’s coming with me,” he said, pointing directly at me.
“What? What?” I screamed.
My hands immediately tightened around Ella’s dress as I held onto her as if my life depended on it. My entire body began to shake.
“She’s going nowhere with you!” Ella shouted, stepping in front of me. She wrapped her arms around me protectively, trying to keep me behind her.
Mr. South stared at her without saying a word for a few seconds.
“It’s an order, not a choice,” he finally said coldly.
Ella shook her head. “I will get you your money. Just give me some time.”
“I want it now.”
“I promise I’ll pay you. Just give me a little time, please.”
“I said I want it now,” he repeated. His voice became harder. “I’m taking her.”
My heart pounded violently in my chest.
I held onto Ella even tighter. I didn't understand what was happening. Why did he want me? What was he planning to do with me?
Fear ran through my entire body.
Was he going to hurt me? Was I ever going to see Ella again?
“No,” Ella said firmly. “She can't go with you. Give me time to pay your money. I'll find a way. Please.”
Mr. South looked at her for a moment.
Then he turned toward his men.
“Get her into the car.”
My blood ran cold.
“No!” I screamed.
Before I could move, two of his men grabbed me. I struggled against them, desperately trying to break free.
“Ella!”
“Lilian!”
Ella tried to reach me, but another man grabbed her and forced her back.
“Leave my sister alone!” she screamed.
“Ella!” I cried, tears already filling my eyes. “Please! Help me!”
I tried explaining to them that I knew nothing about the money, that I was only a little girl and I had nothing to do with whatever had happened.
“Please, I don't know anything! I'm just a little girl "
Nobody listened.
They dragged me outside while Ella struggled against the men holding her. I looked back and saw her fighting to get free.
“Lilian, don't be afraid!” she shouted.
But I was already terrified.
They pushed me toward a black SUV waiting outside. I tried to resist, but they were stronger than me.
“No! Please!”
They opened the door and forced me inside before slamming it shut.
I immediately rushed toward the window.
“Ella!”
I saw her running toward the vehicle, tears streaming down her face.
“Lilian!”
But before she could reach me, the SUV suddenly moved.
I watched helplessly as Ella became smaller through the window.
My tears finally fell.
I pressed my hands against the glass, staring at my sister until she disappeared from view.
I didn't know where they were taking me.
I didn't know what would happen to me.
All I could think was, What is going to happen to my life now?
I lowered my head and cried silently as the SUV carried me farther and farther away from everything I knew.
