Devastatingly Handsome

*Ophelia POV* Admittedly after she chastised the Alpha - was she insane? - she felt the same of hypocrisy. She didn't show it of course, but she was just as guilty of judging solely on second hand information. And as they talked, she marveled at how different he was than what she pictured. She was even more rude and obnoxious than usual, just to test his buttons. She knew she shouldn't, she was practically asking for a war, but it was a strange fascination to watch him put up with her. Like water rolling off a ducks back. Even the two shadows behind them started chatting. Grace laughed! She hated wolves even more than her, just how charming was that Beta to get a laugh? "Now...what are your hobbies?" The question startled her, as it was the first one about her and not the town or witches in general. Her first reaction was a smart ass retort about how it was none of his business, but she decided to humor him. "Watching movies and being a pain in my mom's side. And you?" The follow up question was just a reflex, she didn't mean it but couldn't take the words back. Despite unfair prejudices, the fact was this was her enemy. She shouldn't get to know him. But a small part of her wanted to anyway. He gave her a smile. A beautiful, full smile not a smirk. It made her stomach do flips and her heartbeat quicken. It should be illegal for a man to be so gorgeous. She had a little bit of dating experience, all her exes looked like fish compared to him. "I think you do that second one quite well. I like to go on runs and be a pain to Heath." Sharp wolf ears apparently picked up this slight, as the black haired male shouted a "Hey!" Ophelia and Kaine both started laughing, leaving poor Grace to look confused at the three of us. The ginger witch never thought in a hundred years she'd share a laugh with the bloodthirsty Alpha Kaine himself, nevermind any werewolf at all. But there she was, laughing as they approached her home. And there was mom, her face carefully neutral. Her eyes however couldn't hide their surprise, and their suspicion. "Back on time mother." She broke the silence between them as they met. "Good...good. Do you have any reservations about our coven Alpha Kaine?" Esmeralda gently felt out the situation. She had seen her daughter laughing with the Alpha, and didn't know what to make of it. The wolf shook his head. "No, I have no reservations in signing that your coven holds no threat to my pack. I of course have to visit the others still, this only clears your own." The older woman sighed a breath of relief she was holding. "Then Ophelia come inside, Grace you can go home. Thank you for everything today. If the Alpha can just sign it you can be on your way." He nodded again before his low voice sounded again. It was such a delicious voice, she could listen to it all day. "Certainly. However when I leave, I'm leaving with Ophelia." The silence was deafening.
