“Andrea!” Alexander exclaimed when he stormed inside the hospital room of his wife. He’s way too impatient to eavesdrop and wait.
“What are you doing here?” Both Andrea and her mother said at the same time in surprise when they saw him.

“Don’t get mad at Mom. She didn’t bring me here,” Alexander defended his mother-in-law before Andrea could complain about his presence. “I followed her all the way here,” he added.
Andrea shut her eyes close, clenched her fist, and held her breath to stop her heart from beating fast. Seeing Alexander’s worried expression made her heart jump in and out of her chest.
“Stop it, Andrea. Don’t put your expectations higher than the ceiling,” Andrea scolded herself at the back of her mind.
