"Do you want to go home now?" Alexander asked. "Since we already finished exchanging gifts. And there's nothing left to do anyway," he continued as he grabbed Andrea's palms and gently rubbed his thumb against her skin.
Andrea then stared at him for a second with a blank expression on her face.
"Can we?" she confirms as her emotionless face lights up.
"Yeah," he confirmed as he smiled faintly at her. "I'm kinda tired too," Alexander lied.
Alexander knew that his wife was not feeling good at the moment and that she was just forcing herself to sound and look as cheerful as she could be.
