While strolling around the city, Louie suddenly stopped from walking that made Harriet frown and look at him. "What's the matter? Is there something wrong? Is it related to the City Lord?" Harriet asked worriedly. Louie stayed silent that made Harriet worried for more. "If it is because of Evans, you can leave me here. I won't mind." Harriet said. Louie wants to spend more time with Harriet. But he still needs to accomplish his mission to bring Harriet to the mansion for the banquet that is especially prepared for her. He hesitated and faced Harriet. "Well, the City Lord is hosting a banquet for the City Lords from the different areas. Even the King's Saviour will also attend. As the host, my lord needs a companion, a date. But you know how my lord acts. He is so indifferent towards other woman. And you are the only one who can understand him. So... I may trouble you to come with me in the City Lord's mansion? To prepare?" He explained. "Okay. Please, lead the way." Harriet agreed instantly. "Come again?" Louie is a bit surprised that Harriet immediately agreed without asking anything about the details of the banquet. He feels guilty that he and the City Lord is taking advantage of her trust to them. But, he need to do this. "I will not ask for more. As long as I can help you and Evans, I will not hesitate to agree to anything." Louie, somehow feel happy with Harriet. And if this woman would be the City Lord's Lady, he is sure that he will be happy. He brought the lady to the big mansion of the City Lord. Instead of entering from the front door, they turned and enter through the backdoor. Harriet didn't ask why that made Louie's mission become a lot easier than expected. "The maids will assist you, my Lady. The dress was already prepared in my lord's bedroom." Louie explained then Harriet nodded as response. She and five of the maids in the mansion went upstairs through the secret passage. She obediently took a shower like they instructed and after that, she took a seat in front of the mirror while the other maid is assisting her to fix her hair. "My Lady. If you have any complaints in our work, please notify us and punish us. If you became unhappy, the City Lord will never forgive us." Fear in the eyes of the maids are evident that made Harriet frown in confusion. She realized the difference of his treatment toward her and the other women. She felt sorry for them yet, she never utter any complaints. "Just tie my hair in messy ponytail. And make me some light make up. It will match in the dress, I assume. Don't pressure yourself. I am not that hard to please." She coaxed. The maids followed her instructions with happy smile on their face. They once thought that the Fairy Immortal is nothing but a face. They realized that their assumptions is not true. She is kind and considerate, traits that they finally understood what their City Lord liked about the Fairy Immortal. They helped her with the dress. It is white with some holes in every right places. It was paired with a white stilettos that the laces are crawling up her long legs. Harriet didn't complain yet she was amazed. She didn't expected that Evans will catch her taste. She took a sit once again and let the maids serve her well until Evans came. "Wow." She heard him say. She giggled then wink at the newcomer. She saw him blush from the corner of her eye that she find it cute. "I am disappointed with you, Evans." She suddenly said. The maids who are serving her was shocked. While Evans is just smiling awkwardly to the lady. He knows he is at fault for lying. But he just want to give her a surprise. "Sorry. I didn't mean to lie—" "So, this is the reason why you ignored me for a month? Why didn't you ask me for help? I told you that I want to help you yet you didn't asked me for it." She heaved a sigh and added, "I am disappointed to you, Evans." She pouted. Evans chuckled awkwardly and thought, 'I thought she finally knew about the banquet. Maybe, Louie lied to her that I need a date in this occasion. That made me anxious for a while.' He looked at the goddess in front of him. Her eyes are closed and let the maids serve her. He signaled them to go and they followed his order. He went at the back of the lady and he continued the combing of her natural long wavy hair. "I am sorry if I lied to you. It's just that, I don't want you to stop teaching those children. I don't want to spoil your mood. And also, I can still handle it. Don't worry too much." He explained. Harriet sighed and nod her head. She understand his intention. Its just that, she wants to be more useful to him. "So, your guests are already there?" She changed the subject. "Yes. Except for a couple of groups of guests. The Underworld Princes and the King's Saviour envoy." "Why do I feel like the Heaven Realm is too stubborn to attend even like pretending to be a passerby in this kind of occasion?" She asked. "They are like that 7,000 years ago. Even before the whole Mortal Realm enter the new age from that hellish dark age. They aren't interested with trivial issues of Mortal Realm. That's why there are Human Immortals like me." He explained. "So, you are not the only Human Immortal living?" Harriet asked again curiously. "Yeah. There is my senior brother who is already over 8,000 years old. We became extinct after I was born." He can't help but to be sad with the fact that the specie of Human Immortal will be cut off permanently. Harriet turned to face Evans. She fixed his tux and pulled his cheek that made the other party wince. "Stop frowning. It doesn't suit you at all." She coaxed. Evans, as his response, smiled at her sweetly and hugged her tightly. 'I can't imagine a life without you, Harriet.' He thought. The mansion's ballroom is decorated with grand designs. There are tables set up, and waiters who personally serves the table where they are assigned to. The whole ballroom is lively, full of laughter and chatter. Those City Lords who are friends with other is greeting each other with a lots of stories to tell. But the crowd turned silent when the four Princes of Underworld Realm entered the room. Followed by the King's Saviour envoy with Silver, Sera and the one who leads them— Dark. When Dark learned the rumors about this Fairy Immortal, he have a strong hunch that this Immortal is his Princess Harriet. He never thought that she will live in a nearby area from Area 666. Somehow, he felt relieve that she was away from the war. But he felt a little bit anxious whenever he thinks of her being accompanied with other man. He is jealous yet he also feel so guilty when he realized that he must be the one she is scared of. Crow also came. As the City Lord of Area 666. Despite of the rehabilitation of the city, he forced himself to come here in hopes that he can see Harriet. Aside from them, no one knows who the Fairy Immortal might possibly be. "I doubt that this woman would be as beautiful as the third's fiancée." The 2nd Prince Dominic said. "Come on. Third spent his lifetime to search for his Princess. Don't be so rude, brother." The 4th Prince August sarcastically said. "If he let the Princess marry me, she will never be abducted by that old hag. He must suffer the consequences of rivaling with me for the throne." The Crown Prince Asmo said in his angry tone. The 5th Prince named Joseph didn't respond. This indifferent prince stayed neutral that his brothers didn't bother to talk with. They considered Joseph as an Ice Prince because he is a natural aloof person. But among the princes, no one dared to provoke him. Aside from Dark, Joseph is also a friend of the Heaven Realm's Princess. So, he is also half-blaming Dark for losing his friend, and half-blaming himself for not fighting for her. He likes the Princess so much. But when the decision was made, he choose to back out and protect the Princess in the dark. "Look what we have here." Steven suddenly popped up from Dark's side. "Steven. Why are you here?" Dark asked coldly. "Your highness, that's cold of you. Of course, I helped Evans to prepare this banquet. That's why I am here." Steven answered recklessly. "Have you ever seen this Fairy Immortal?" He asked curiously. Steven smirked and nod. "She looks like a goddess." He simply said. Dark's heart thump louder than before. He can't wait to see the face of this person. "Why, your highness? Interested with her?" When Dark didn't respond, Steven added, "I am sorry to disappoint you but... Evans seems head over heels with the Fairy Immortal." Dark clenched his fist then rested and calmed himself. He still needs to confirm the identity of the woman behind that name. He can't act recklessly. Louie came out the hall where leads to Evans chamber. He signaled Steven that the two are ready to come out. Steven nodded and excused himself to Dark then gathered everyone's attention. "Ladies and gentlemen. Greetings to our distinguished guests, City Lords, Princes and King's Saviour 's envoy. I am Human Immortal Steven, your host, temporarily for the night." Everyone’s attention was transfferred to him. "There are rumors about the Fairy Immortal in Area 667. They say that she is beautiful like a goddess descended from the sky. Well, I must confirm to you that she really is, even though I only saw her sleeping in her courtyard in the forest. She have this aura that gives the citizens warmth. Recently, she also started to teach the children that even I, an 8,000 years old Immortal deeply appreciates it. "For the description of the said maiden, a man with his heart given to her can only describe it. If you already saw her, you are lucky. But if you have the chance that you talked with her, you are even more lucky. Please, let us welcome her and the City Lord of Area 667." Everyone was excited that they unconsciously clapped so hard that their palm turned numb. They can't even wait to see the face of the so-called Fairy Immortal. Two people come in. Evans who is wearing a black tux is guiding Harriet whom he blindfolded earlier. She is like a goddess indeed with white dress and vermillion hair. Everyone gasped when they saw a part of her. Dark, Silver and Crow's eyes widen when they finally confirmed their hunches. No one among them can mistaken the beauty of Harriet. "Evans. What is this? I am nervous so please take this damn cloth on my sight." Harriet started to curse because of irritation. Evans chuckled then untie the blindfold. He whispered in her ear the words, "You are so beautiful tonight." Harriet blushed that made the other chuckle again. When her sight came to light, she gasped for the sight of many people in front of her. Her mouth gapped open when she saw Crow and Silver. She felt a little afraid when she saw Sera and Dark. But with Evans around, she felt at ease and look at Evans with tears from her blue eyes. "I saw a few acquaintances. Why did you do this?" She asked. Evans looked around then landed on Harriet. He wiped off her tears and kiss her forehead. Dark and Crow clenched their fists from their seats with the sight of it. "Don't be afraid. No one can hurt you under my watch." He coaxed then she nodded. "Good evening to everyone. Thank you for coming. My fellow City Lords, the five Underworld Realm Princes, and also the envoys of the King's Saviour..." "Wait! We are only four in here. How come we became five in your eyes?" Dominic asked. "You are five in here. I counted it right." Evans reasoned. "Stop it Dominic. You're so embarrassing." Asmo scolded him that made him silent. Evans nodded at Asmo who is watching the woman beside him. Everyone's focused was on Harriet who is playing with her dress innocently. He passed the microphone to Harriet who is still nervous at the huge crowd. She sighed and started to introduce herself. "My name is Harriet. They called me Fairy Immortal suddenly and I don't really mind it. I'm sure I am not a fairy. But I am a little confused with being an Immortal like him. They said, it's because of my house built in the forest, near the shore. And also with my kindness to all people. I want to clarify that I built that house to be called my home. I am kind because this is the first time I encountered many humans after I left the place where I was raised. I appreciate your appreciation to me. Thank you for coming in Evans party." She smiled sweetly that made every heart in the ballroom thump wildly. Harriet knew already that the moment her eyes and Dark's met, her life will never be the same.
