jealousy

Nat eyes flutter open but when pain shot up his head, he shut it immediately. He had such a terrible headache that he had to hold his head before getting up from the bed. He gets up and felt a hand on his bare leg. Who could that be? He slowly opened his eyes accustomed to the familiarity of his room, he looks to his side and what he saw, drains all the colour from his face. It was a half naked Bella sleeping soundly, it was her hand on his leg. He quickly removed his duvet for confirmation of what his mind was already thinking. He could see his naked body and that of Bellas. Shit, he panicked, he felt like screaming but he knew he would be in greater trouble, his parents were downstairs, and the awkwardness if Bella woke up. He slowly removes her hand from his leg and gets up completely from the bed. As he stands, he is hit with another wave of migraine. What happened last night? He walked slowly to his bathroom and locks the door gently. He paces about the room. Oh no, no, no....what is going on? What have I done? This is bad... Real bad..... he mutters regrettably to himself. He opens the small cupboard beneath the mirror. He brings out a tablet for headaches and migraines. He takes a swallow and drinks some water. He sits on his bathtub and thinks hard trying to remember what happened yesterday night. Flashes of images starts coming in. The club, the drink, the kiss, the sex.. The images were too much for him, he gets up and rushes to the sink, he turns on the tap and washes his head and face with water. This is bad.... Very bad. How is David going to react when he finds out? Kill him that's for sure. He suddenly felt suffocated by the room and the house as a whole. He takes a quick bath, dresses corporately , grabs his car keys and leaves immediately, leaving sleeping Belle on his bed. He arrives at work and goes to his office quietly. He just wanted to forget everything, and it felt like the hardest thing in the world to do. Everything is messed up, everything is ruined. Throughout that morning in his office, he tries to engross himself on office work, one of the meetings he had that morning was cancelled when he couldn't concentrate and left halfway. He rested his head face down on his desk. Just breathe Nat .....just breat.... A knock came through from the door. Who could that be?, he had told the secretary that he didn't want to be disturbed. "Hello Nat" The familiar voice sends fear running down his spine, his head shot up to meet the beautiful face of Belle. He tries to speak but only his lips moved and no words came out. "I see you left for work early" she continued, moving forward and sitting on one of the seats opposite him. "Y..yea..yeah" He stammered, He finally found his voice, his palm were sweaty and he was visibly shaking. "You must have a hangover from last night, I hope you took drugs?" She asked concerned.. How come he is the only one panicked over this? She seemed so normal, like nothing happened. He only nods in response. "Great, I see it's your lunch time. Come on let's go out for lunch" she somewhat orders and stands from her seat. "L..lunch?" He reaffirms "Yeah, lunch, don't worry it's just around the block" she smiles widely. And walks out "I'll wait for you outside" As soon as she leaves. He gets up and paced forth and back. He had so many questions run wild in his head. What's she doing here? Why is she so calm about this? Wth.. lunch? He uses his hand and wipes his face. His headache seems to be doubled. He puts his phone in his pants pocket And inhales....he walks out and slams the door behind him. *** "You sure you don't wanna order anything?" "I don't have any appetite" he says sourly avoiding her too calm eyes. He looks around the restaurant instead. There were at the restaurant now but Nat refuses to eat anything, he felt like if anything goes in, it could end up puked out. Bella orders a plate of fried rice, beef and a bottle of coke. She starts eating and ask Nat to do same but Nat refuses, not knowing what was even going on. She even tries to feed him but he vehemently refused. She finishes eating and Nat clears the bill. Bella places her hands on Nat shoulders causing him to jump at the contact, "Relax Nat, why are you so scared?" "Relax? How do you expect me to relax? We did something bad Bella. And you are saying I should relax" "So? We were both drunk and out of our senses, it's completely justified" she says casually. He looked at her like she had grown too heads. "What?....chill okay?... You worry too much" she waves unconcerned. She calls the waiter "please get him a plate of fried rice and coke, I can tell he is starving" she tells the waiter. "Make sure you eat. I know you didn't eat anything this morning, or else I'll feed you" She says as she brings out her phone and types away. He stares at the table in deep thought. She was kinda right. *** By the end of the day, Bella had successfully calmed him down, although he mind couldn't stop thinking about the night club issue but it was on other reasons like she sweet her lips taste and how she took him to cloud 9. He felt guilty for thinking about it, she was still David's woman, but he couldn't help it. The following days they hanged out like close friends, they went to see movies, the park, zoo and other amazing place. Their company reminded him of Nancy. As painful as her exit was, Bella seems to be filling that space. Her beauty made him drool, her laughter made him restless, and he enjoyed her company. He sometimes felt jealous of David for dating her, if only he had met her before him. A random person could mistake them for couples or where they? Belle was in Nat's room one of these cool evenings. She just lay on the bed staring at ceiling while Nat finished a file he was going to send to David the next day. "Have you ever felt confused about your feelings, like you can't decipher and choose" she asks absent-mindedly still staring at the ceiling. "Yeah, like the time i fell in love with Nancy" He says calmly, he was done with the file now so he lays down beside Belle and stare at the ceiling too. "Nancy?" "Um...yeah...Nancy was my girlfriend" "I loved her so much or too much maybe, and she did too, she always tells me so and I could see it in her eyes. our hearts, souls and minds connected. She was the perfect woman... beautiful, independent, kind, honest and so much more. I won't even doubt it if I was told God moulded her on a Sunday" He says, his mind too far deep. Belle turns and give him a quick stare before returning to the ceiling. Why does she feel uncomfortable hearing him talk about another Lady, someone he loved? "So....where is she now?" "In heaven...I believe...I lost her to an accident, I couldn't do anything" His voice cracked at the end and a stray tears slides down his face. He wondered why he was so calm, before at the mention of Nancy's name, he would burst into tears. Yes he was over her, all those therapy sessions finally paid off after a year but he can't forget her, he never will. "Oh... I'm so sorry" she says and holds his hand still staring at the ceiling. "She always loved the motto YOLO you. Only. Live. Once. She would go on outings once or twice a week and give herself a treat. She was intelligent too, A successful writer. By now we would have been married and had little kids running around. He chuckled at the thought. She had many potentials to give to the world but death planned otherwise" he says sadly. She squeeze his hands gently as a way of telling him she was there and still listening. "I completely understand you, Losing a loved one is hard. All my life I grew up having little pictures and memories of my father, he left when I was still very young, he was taken by the cruel hands of people. But not to worry I will get them back soon" Silence ensued between them, both lost in their own world's. They were both broken people who lost important people in their life. Nat squeeze Belle's hand softly. They both turned to face each other realising they had tears in their eyes. Belle draws closer and kissed his eyes. Soon Nat lips covered hers. ★★★———————————————————★★★ Whasssuppppp lovely people..... It is I ...... Author of this book......what do you think of this chapter? Things are going fine and going bad at the same time.... I am actually getting confused even as the author but who should I complain to.... Well...I guess will ask my brain...lol. Do you have guesses of what could be going on? Have you cracked the big secret I couldn't not catch....I would certainly like to hear it. #5 nigeria fact... I just remembered I said I would talk about big serious superstitions. Ok here it goes... In a village in Nigeria, people from there are not allowed to kill snakes...a certain type of snake tho...I think the python. They worship it and anyone in the village or from there who kills it faces serious punishment like preparing for it's burial, it is going to be buried extravagantly like it was a human who died, all expenses on it's murderer. Ugh.. creepy. The snake comes around people occasionally, it visits the person's house and in that time, you are not expected to kill, just act normal. Like WTF...you are telling me to act normal when there is a snake in my house???? They say it blesses the house or something and leaves on his own. It doesn't bite or kill, it can come at night and wrap it's body around you and you do nothing, If you are so irked the highest you can do is push it out of your house with a stick without hurting him. Now I'm not from there, thank goodness. But it sure is real... There was this post about it on f*******: in a Nigerian group...it actually related to a story. A guy takes his soon to be bride to his parents house in the village for introductions. The girl oblivious to their tradition follows him. She gets mad when she sees a snake in the house and when she tries to kill it she was told not to. She was finally told the tradition and felt really irritated. So much so that she cancelled the proposed wedding and leaves the parents house that night to the city. So the question was, was she right? Or did she go overboard?, who was wrong? How about you answer that let's hear your opinions..... My uncle's wife also has a tradition in her village, they don't eat snails, it's forbidden. If you do, you get some kind of disease or sickness that doesn't have a cure. Even if you eat it out of the village. Well...their loss, more for me. My parents village must have some tradition but we are too city-ish to even know about it. And they like to keep it that way. We have never been taken to our parents respective villages before and probably never will. My mum says her village is not visitable at all, and from some stories she tell us I don't think I would want to go there.. it's downright scary, although her dad still lives there. We (siblings and I) have never seen him before, only heard his voice through phone, he mostly speak native, he doesn't understand English that much . As for Dad, he doesn't even care. He is pretty neutral about the whole village thing. His parents aren't there so he doesn't have any business there. Anyway.... Add.... follow.... comment...share.. Love you all to the moon and back ~precious~
