The battle still raged ferociously upon the field, although astonishingly enough, the Celtoi horde appeared to have given ground to the Romani. This confused Boudicca, until she saw for herself how bewildered and somehow dispirited her host seemed.
She observed the fluctuating rhythm of the combat line heave back and forth upon the field, and tried to discern where the Celtoi weak points were so she might direct reinforcements to those places.
