Chapter 16 VernemetumIt was daybreak before Boudicca could persuade Lovernios to talk any more. The Druid had recovered himself quickly from his sleepy outburst, insisting Boudicca got some rest whilst she could. He’d obviously realised instantly that he had blurted out far more than he had intended to and strove to recover some sort of advantage by insisting they all rest. Boudicca fumed in frustration at his refusal to discuss these vital issues there and then. But he was as stubborn and intractable as she thought only she could be, and he paid no attention to her demands or prodding attempts to awaken him.
