"I thought we could visit this store because it just opened last night. Do you think we could buy our favorites here, Astrid? Or we should find another store? The usual?"

"ohhhh myyyy goshhh!" I suddenly screeched not minding what he just said. Xander chuckled beside me and I looked at him with a death glare.

"Okay, okay. This is it." He said and got a cart. I smiled evilly with the thought of spending his money again.

Idiot! He always pays for everything when you pick something to buy, Astrid! Always.

"That's okay." I said and went over to him because he was already waiting.

"Good girl. Now where do you want to visit after this?"

"Wait! We can!?" I gasped and I forgot we were in a*****e. I looked around and what I thought was right..... Everyone was looking at us.

"We can, Astrid. Stop looking and don't mind them, yeah? Where do you wanna go?"

You're angry at him, Astrid. Pull yourself together! It would be okay, right? I'll just stop talking to him after we visit it.

Uhmm.... That's okay. That's better.

"The.... Arcade...." I muttered and looked around again. "Okay, then. I'll be assuming the usual again." I nodded in response.

I'm being mesmerized by how big the store was. It was a specific store for different types of chocolate, junk foods, and for picnic things, or just snacks.

Not just a grocery store where we usually both visit.... This is my favorite, now.

By, now. We were already walking around like crazy. I wouldn't let anything past. I'm going to get this cart full. And he'll be paying for everything...

My wicked smile grew again. I looked at the cart and it was already half way with the foods I choosed.

"What is it, Astrid? Stop looking at the cart and look at the way you're going. I can't afford getting you hurt, you know"

I furrowed my brows and looked at him. The divot was biting his lips. I know he was teasing me again. "Stop saying that.... I know you can't afford what's on the cart right, now. I'll be making you broke."

He chuckled. "I bet you can't get the cart full, Astrid." This time my lips went into a full pout.

"I bet you I can...." His lips curved into a smile and he nodded, agreeing with something I couldn't understand.

"Yes you can," He agreed making me furrowed my brows again. "Stop furrowing your brows, Astrid." He said.

"Fill this cart as fast as you can, hmm? Let's get out of this shitty place." Xander said his voice calm but I can see his jaw clenching.

"Why?" I whispered. "There's some guy following us. He's been following us since we entered the store" he replied calmly.

"Someone? Who? Why?" I said my body already panicking. He chuckled and shook his head. "Shhh, little girl. You don't need to know that. Just fill this cart"

"I think you're joking again.... But I don't care... I'll really make you broke.... And your mom will get angry at you! If.... If you ask her for money...."

"Good girl. Now keep picking. Just put it, hmm? Don't hesitate." I won't. But I just nodded instead of saying that. I'm still angry at him.

"The total is 17, 825 sir." The cashier said making me smile. He's going to pay for it! He's going to pay for it! He's going to–

"What!? 17 thousand!? Are you crazy!?" I suddenly gasped when i realized what she just said. "Uhh, yes, ma'am. The total is 17, 825." She assured me again and I bit my lips.

I looked around and everyone was already staring at us. I looked at Xander again who was looking at me and going through his wallet.

"Uhm.... Xander? We'll.... We'll get some other back...." I whispered and looked at the back. There were still people waiting on the line making me panic again.

"We don't, Astrid." He said calmly. "Fuck." He muttered. "What's wrong? You don't have enough money?" I whispered again.

Please no.... This is not okay! This is not okay!

"I forgot my card." He simply said and the cashier's jaw dropped. "You both looked rich, I was busy with your things and you both don't have any money?"

I gulped at the sudden change of voice. She was mad.... I couldn't look at the back of the line, again. I knew they were angry.

Tears swelled up on my eyes again. My lips started to shake. "Excuse me? I'll pay for his things. Put it in this card." Someone interrupted and I suddenly jerked my eyes to her.

By now my eyes were already blurry. I blinked and wiped it away. "Put it on my card" I heard her say again.

And by now, i'm amazed and mesmerized by her beauty. She's perfect....

"I was just kidding. Here." I looked at Xander again who was already looking at me while handing the card. "You...."

"Yes, Astrid?" He said and smirked. "A black card? I knew you were rich." The cashier said and machine beeping was heard.

I avoided his gaze and looked at the girl.... He was probably same as my age. But she was more beautiful, more perfect than me.

I bit my lips when she looked at me. "Stop kidding around...." She said and smiled. "You got your little sister very worried" she said making me lost for words.

I looked at the cashier ho was already looking at the three of us. I want to leave....

"She's not my sister. That little play is for hers, not yours." I switched my gaze to Xander again. He was already looking at me. But one thing that changed was his voice.

It was raw. Cold.... Was he already annoyed by..... Me?

"Ohh, sorry about that. She's cute though." The lady said and I looked at her again. My eyes were already hurting for every switching but I didn't cared.

I'm not cute.... He said I was pretty.... But not beautiful.....

"It was nice to meet you...." Was she talking about me? Or Xander? "Uhmm.... His name is Xander...." I muttered.

"Xander.... Hope we meet again." She said and walked off. I stared at her until she stopped on a near by aisle. She looks very beautiful. Not just pretty.

I bite my lips hard again. I need to stop my self from crying because of embarrassment and shame about myself. Everything.
