Draven ended the call without saying anything. His already red eyes darted to the corners of the room as the phone started to get crushed in his grip.
A smile appeared on his face as he took a step forward.
Those bunch of idiots did it when they knew he wouldn't be in Knockway. There must be an insider who informed them of his movements. There was nothing anyone could tell him.
"Eric..." This was the first time he addressed the Delta by his name.
To Eric, it felt as though the Angel of death called him to inform him it was his time to leave earth.
"Inform the Beta and the Gamma to gather as many warriors in the mansion's perimeter. They should also get the servants out for questioning." He said these words as he shut his eyes to a close while a bone c***k was heard.
Eric feared that the Alpha's hand was about to transform into a claw to chop his head off that instant. He had watched him act like this when he wanted to murder people, and he couldn't help but think he was next.
Eric remained rooted on the spot as he waited for death to hit him. When there was nothing at him, he didn't spare a second to rush out of the room.
Draven sighed and opened his eyes as murderous intent was seen in them. The room was filled with the sounds of bones cracking and a growl filled the air.
On all fours was a huge, majestic red wolf with brilliant blue eyes that had turned crimson. The beast dashed out of the room without destroying anything in the process. It was swift as the wind.

"Hey... Step back, I'll deal with them." She tried to push the boy away from her front. But he never budges. He was unmoving like a statue. It made Anna frustrated.
She wanted to settle this matter in a civilized manner. Seeing the way the boy growled, she could not help but feel pity for him.
Poor kid, he must have grown up in an environment where violence was the answer to all things. She thought.
Since he never listened to her, she brushed past him and headed toward the shadows fearlessly. Her action caused the boy's eyes to widen in fear.
He was quick to dash to her front. He remained fixed on the spot as if he was going to protect her with his whole life.
Annalisa blinked seeing him in front of her again. She could not help but chuckle in amusement.
If these were people against him, shouldn't she be protecting him from them? Why was it looking the other way around?
"Step back." Her eyes glinted as she said those words to him. The boy couldn't help but pout his lips before staying away from her way.
He never liked it when someone scolded him, and her actions looked like she did. Anna didn't pay attention to this, she was too focused on handling these people.
"Uh... Excuse me...?" She raised a brow as she placed a hand on her waist, before narrowing her eyes to the shadows.
"I have no idea why you'd be chasing a kid this late hour. He's still a child and should be resting up for school! So, I'd like us to settle this matter like adults. Why are you after him?"
"Give the boy or lose your head." A gruff voice said that made Anna take a step back.
She laughed at herself as she thought about the child who growled like he wanted to protect her with his life. Here she was suddenly backing out because of a threat.
Way to be an adult, Annalisa.
"No." Her words were stern as she took a step forward. Her answers stunned both herself and the people before her.
They never heard of a person standing as an obstacle to what they were ordered to do. So, Annalisa opposing their statement stubbornly came as a shock to them.
Anna thought that she had gone crazy. There was a lot of reason for her to back out because of their threat. One was that she needed to return to Stormout, another was that she never knew whose child this was.
But because he had tried to protect her, she decided to do the same... And at the expense of her head.
"I already asked a question that needs an answer. Why are you after him?" She raised her chin as she shot a questioning look at them.
It wasn't like this boy wasn't someone whom she never was supposed to meet in her lifetime. Was it?
Annalisa turned her head to the little boy who glared at the shadows with his piercing eyes. His attitude seemed violent yet adorable to her.
Maybe these people were loan sharks and they wanted his parents to pay for the money borrowed. That might be the reason why they were after this boy, right...?
Or they couldn't be child traffic– thinking about it alone was disgusting to her.
"Step back lady," The voice warned again but Anna was stubborn. There was no way she would allow them to take a child for trafficking.
Didn't they have any conscience?
"Make me." Her eyes gleamed as her lips curved. Those words made the little boy raise his head to stare at her in amazement because that moment the evening breeze made her curly hair flutter.
To him, that only happened in the movies.
A gush of wind slapped her face and Anna saw an inky dagger pointed at her throat. It happened so fast that she couldn't decipher how possible it was.
No one had moved so fast with such efficiency before. It was as though the person who grabbed her was working with the wind.
She heard a growl from behind her and turned her head to look at the boy. She couldn't see his face because of the darkness that enveloped her from this shadowy figure.
But the air she was feeling from his direction could threaten a person to run away. Just like the feeling she got from that strange man in the airport today.
Suddenly a loud growl that could tear the place apart was heard. Anna felt the shadow releasing her from its grip as more growls could be heard.
What could be happening...? Was that the little boy?
