“You said what?” Ria asked, the surprise written on her face. She adjusted her doctor’s gown as she leaned back against the wall of the hospital. “You’re obligated to listen to me,” I recalled. Even after two days, I was still in disbelief that I’d actually said that. “I can’t believe you did that.” I chuckled softly, the adrenaline still buzzing through me. “Me either.
