Chapter 25: Options
I was frozen. I didn't know how long I had been standing there watching the horizon. It was almost sunset. I loved witnessing the sunset because it inevitably gives me the feeling that the world was resting after a tiring day. It gave me the feeling of hope and strength to face a renewed day. But this sunset was different. It made me feel so dark and lonely. I was so alone. Alone again. I felt trapped inside a box watching the sun disappear in my very eyes. What happened to "hope"? More so, what happened on "I love you"? Looked like those promises were gradually fading with the sun as it slowly hid beneath those mountains from afar. How could something so pretty become so dark and lonely? I saw him walk away without looking back at me. He was doing exactly what his best friend did to me.
