The meeting was quite interesting, everyone seemed to be in a good mood. I quietly sat behind Leonard taking down the minutes of the meeting.
I was later invited to join them for the actual lunch and I agreed happily. I was served at a separate table with the view of pedestrians walking by and doing their various activities .
I enjoyed the view as I ate the medium rare steak and corn soup I ordered. It was delicious, the first time I had tasted such fine cuisine and I felt privileged wishing Stan and mom could taste this.
“How is it?” Leo asked calmly as he sat on the empty seat at the table.
“Best thing I’ve tasted this year. Thank you” I said gratefully with a light smile.
