Olive was taken away by Wilson's action. Eaten up by surprise—she never expected such a phenomenon to happen so fast. Her heart increased its beating tempo; she heard her heartbeat loud and clear.
"I want you to make me the happiest human on earth by being my wife. I see you as the mother of my unborn kids. I cannot live comfortably in this world again without you by my side. Please accept me as your husband—I promise to take care of you forever and ever." Wilson continued proposing, kneeling, bringing out the diamond ring glittering seductively.
Tears of joy rolled down Olive's cheeks.
"Will you marry me, Olive?" Wilson concluded.
"Yes. Yes, Wilson. I will marry you." She accepted, hastily standing up and stretching forth her left hand.
"You said yes—you seriously accepted?" Sonia tried to tease them again.
"Yes, my angel. I love your dad so much. Don't you want us to officially become one family by marriage?" Olive threw back another question.
Wilson immediately put the ring on the fourth finger of her left hand—the ring finger. He stood up and they hugged tightly.
"You adults are really corrupting a thirteen-year-old girl like me. Don't worry, I'll soon get my own boyfriend since I've become your apprentice." Sonia threatened, joining them in the hug. They laughed at her silliness and continued their meal.
"Thank you for accepting me, Olive—although I'm not worthy of your love." Wilson appreciated her.
"Please don't underrate yourself like that. You're everything I need in a man. So caring and loving. I'm the lucky one to have you, Wilson," she lamented, holding his hands.
"It's okay ooo. Don't oppress others with your love. Dad, I want us to go shopping. That's the only way I'll congratulate you on your new union," Sonia declared after finishing her food.
"Alright, sweetheart. But that's unfair ooh—you want us to bribe you with money before you accept us?" Wilson asked.
"Yes, Dad. Everything in the world today is about money. Besides, I don't do anything for a living—I need a source of livelihood." Sonia stood her ground, joining them in hand-holding.
"It's okay, my angel. We'll go tomorrow," Wilson stated, but Sonia immediately removed her hands and shouted:
"We must go today—that's the proper thing to do now. In fact, let's go!"
"Alright. But before we go, promise me you won't have a boyfriend at this tender age," Olive demanded.
"I never meant anything," I said. I'm now a disciplined child who knows what's beneficial and harmful. Fear not, Mum,"she spoke out confidently.
"That's refreshing to hear. So let's set out for the shopping mall," Wilson said. They all entered the car and drove to the mall.
They bought clothes, jewelry, shoes, and deodorants. Sonia was busy saying:
"I like these clothes. These shoes will fit me. I'm a queen with this necklace. Just see how I'm lighting up everywhere because of this perfume. I want everything in this mall!"
Meanwhile, Olive just stood—she wasn't conversant with buying or wearing luxurious things. She barely selected what she found attractive, not wanting to be a financial burden to Wilson. When Sonia saw this, she decided to help.
"Dad, she said, she likes these. This one will fit her. She'll take you to the moon at night just with her smell—this perfume. This necklace will make her your queen immediately when she wears it." She commended the goods, selecting half the things in the mall.
"Who taught you all these things that I don't know about?" Wilson asked.
"It's in me—my talent." Sonia responded.
After Wilson selected his own goods, he paid for everything, and they went home to celebrate the new union.
Olive stopped doing some household chores—Sonia took care of them. They shared things in common, employing harmony in the family. Olive also managed the company effectively as the madam when Wilson returned to Texas to complete the collaboration. This yielded billions of dollars, making the company blossom favorably.
After about three months engaged, Wilson decided to walk to the altar with his woman. He told Olive—she supported him. They started preparing for the wedding ceremony. First, they had to introduce themselves to their different families. Wilson took his bride to his family. His parents were happy he found another woman to marry after all he'd been through.
"My son, we're really proud of you for taking this crucial step. Thank you for overcoming the heartbreak your former wife caused you." Mr. Geoffrey, Wilson's father, appreciated him.
"That's true, my son. We've been praying for you to find your own wife someday—and here you are. We're pleased with your efforts," his mother, Mrs. Geoffrey, spoke out.
"Thank you, Mum and Dad. It's all thanks to your prayers that I found this marvelous woman." Wilson commended them.
"That's our sole duty, son. Please, what's your name?" Mrs. Geoffrey asked, channeling her attention to Olive.
"Ma, my name is Olive Jackson," Olive replied.
"That's a beautiful name—suits a stunning woman like you." Mr. Geoffrey complimented her.
"Thank you, sir." She appreciated.
"And where are you from, if you don't mind?" Mrs. Geoffrey continued.
"I'm from Florida, ma. I grew up with my parents there," she answered.
"That's okay. I want you to know that you have my blessings in this marriage. Your marriage will be fruitful and free of fault. You will multiply and seek resources to see to your ends," Mr. Geoffrey stated.
"Thank you, sir." Both Wilson and Olive responded.
"I'm also in the same shoes as your father. This marriage will be top-notch," Mrs. Geoffrey added.
"Amen ooh." they claimed.
After that, they went back home and started planning how to visit Olive's family. They later went there and did the introduction.
"Mum, this is my fiancé. His name is Wilson." Olive introduced him to her mum.
"You're welcome to my humble abode, Wilson," Mrs. Jackson voiced out.
"Thank you so much, ma." he replied.
"So where are you from?" she continued.
"I'm from Washington DC, ma. My father's name is Geoffrey. He's a known philanthropist," Wilson answered.
"That's commendable. Please, what do you do for a living?" She pressed on.
"I'm the head of a company that manages Jess coll company in the states. Your daughter is now my personal assistant in the company," he replied.
"Oh my God! Thank you so much for hiring her." Mrs. Jackson expressed her gratitude.
"Don't mention it, ma. The love I have for your daughter cannot be compared to anything," Wilson confessed.
"I can see that in your eyes. You already have my blessings. Of course, you know her father is late—so take good care of her and yourself." She spoke out.
"Thank you, ma. I'm sorry for the death of her father," Wilson sympathized.
"Don't trouble yourself. Everybody dies eventually—it's nothing. Enjoy your martial life, young man," she stated.
"Thank you so much, ma. I really appreciate it," Wilson voiced out, and went back home with Olive.
As they prepared for the wedding, Charles, his manager, ran the company on their behalf. Two days before the wedding, Wilson's mother called and crippled his soul completely with her threatening statement:
"Cancel that wedding with immediate effect."
