IMAD SAIDI WAS SITTING at his desk in a small office in South San Francisco, when his phone rang.
“Hello?”
“Imad, this is Joe Conner, and I am really concerned about your situation. Do you know where the girl is?”
“Not at the moment but we are close. She has had help from a Warren Steelgrave. I am in the process as we speak of gathering information on him. We will have their location by this afternoon.”
“I want a call from you as soon as you have something. Does she have the file, Imad?”
“I am sure she doesn’t. If she did, she would have been trying to contact the authorities to turn herself in. I think it is hidden in the office, but the FBI has it sealed off because of the investigation. No one can get in yet to search.”
