The camp was little more than a clearing in the woods. There were some lean-tos arranged to one side, away from the three fire pits that had been set up. She could tell the group lacked experience in such matters, for if rain came, it would drain right into their makeshift shelters. Save for the leader himself, the other bandits looked bedraggled. Their clothes were threadbare, and their weapons looked makeshift, likely cobbled together from old farm implements. Some even used crude clubs and staves, little more than tree branches.
