Anuradha fell in love with the old fellow in her first meeting itself, might be even before; but since she was from the lower middle class of Assamese society where people are more interested in others’ life than their own, she could not convince herself to agree to love Himangshu Barua, a man of double of her age. Probably it is true for all the middleclass societies across the world, who are self-proclaimed protectors of moral values of the societies.
