SIX It has been a week since that incident and Wesley and I haven’t had s*x since then. It was like our movements were monitored and it was disturbing for me. Dogs bark wildly at each other outside as children zip past the street on their bicycles. And I thought this place was lonely. All the while, laughter spills in through my window. I stand by my white desk, which I have made my own and start organising my resume for my new job. I have yet to be bothered by Croix again even after taking the hottest shower I have ever had in the shared bathroom with no sign of him. I spent my time working to make this room feel homey by hanging my clothes in the closet, setting up a corner for my cello and music stand and organising my makeup on the dresser.
