Chapter 11She woke on a doorstep, backpack at her feet, and caught the Beast backing away from the light cast by a streetlamp. He shrank into the shadows as she sat up but swung his head round once before he disappeared. She followed his line of sight and saw a sign above her head for the Ferryview Bed and Breakfast.
