Chris showed up on Tuesday night right as planned. We put the movie in the DVD player and sat back for our usual take-out and beer. But we were quiet for a moment as we watched the movie start.
“So how was your weekend?” he asked casually as he held his bottle in his hands on his lap. I was in my usual place on the couch. I shrugged.
“It was okay. I have an epic zit growing on my chin. But luckily I don’t have anyone to impress,” I told him. “You?” I asked. He shook his head.
“Just practicing my ass off. Don’t have any zits. Just working and playing. That’s all I ever do.” I nodded.
“Wicked.”
We were silent for a few more minutes. I wasn’t really enjoying the movie after I ate the pizza and finished my beer. I just wanted to get to the other part of the night. I just didn’t know how to bring it up. My confidence came in waves, it seemed. But then he suddenly lunged at me from the other side of the couch. I shrieked as he jumped on me and grasped my chin.
“I can’t handle it anymore. This thing is driving me nuts. It’s taking up half of your f*****g face,” he said as he pinched my chin.
“It’s not ready! Chris stop! It’s not ready yet!” I exclaimed.
“It’s huge! I’ll make it ready.”
“No! Ow, ow, ow! Give it more time!” He ignored me and continued picking at my face. I squirmed to get away from him. “Stop! Stop, stop, stop!” I wiggled a few times until I got my leg free and tried to kick him. But he was holding on tight to my chin as I tried to struggle away. Then we lost our balance and toppled off of the couch like idiots, landing on the floor with a thud. Luckily, I landed on top, and he didn’t seem fazed by having falling on a hardwood floor. “It’s not ready, you jerk!” I said yanking away from him and sitting up.
“Damn, you’re right,” he said. I rubbed my chin.
“That was disgusting. I can’t believe you just tried to pop my zit, you freak.” He put his hands on the back of his head. I was still sitting on top of him.
“It was really bothering me.”
“You’re disgusting.” He moved his hands and gripped my belt loops, pulling me down against him.
“Okay, I’ll ignore that distraction. What do you say we take care of the other distraction?”
“What distraction?” I asked.
“Your body. My body. The position you’re in now. But you know--not on the floor.” I nodded.
“Oh, those distractions.”
“Yeah.”
“Come on. Everyone dies in the end anyway.” I scrambled off of him, and he stood to his feet. Then I led him to my bedroom; we ripped our shirts off, and I jumped up into his arms. He caught me like a pro and dropped me on the bed.
“What are you in the mood for tonight?” he asked.
“That’s a stupid question. And you owe me after trying to destroy my chin.” He laughed.
“I’m letting you be on top this time.”
“Oh, joy. Whoopdity freaking do. I don’t have to do anything on bottom except open my legs. I like that better. I’m lazy.”
“Only because you’ve never been on top with me. Last time didn’t count. I moved you too quickly.”
“Oh, are you going to surprise me?” He shrugged and smiled.
“Just saying. You seemed to enjoy yourself.”
“What makes you think I wasn’t just trying to feed your ego?” He leaned against his hands and smiled down at me, caged between his arms.
“I’ve heard you with your boyfriend, Marley, and I’ve heard you with me. When it comes to you, I can tell the difference between ‘I’m moaning to feed his ego’ and ‘I’m moaning because I’m enjoying this.” I gasped.
“That was uncalled for,” I retorted. “And I have loads of orgasms with Trent.” He smirked.
“Sure you do. And you do with me too.”
“It’s entirely different with you. I don’t love you.”
“That’s exactly why it’s better. You don’t have to worry about making me feel good about myself.”
“You are getting a little too cocky and becoming a narcissistic asshole. I don’t know why I’m even letting you have s*x with me.”
“Because you like it.”
“What, are we back in high school now?”
“Roleplaying? Are you into that?”
“Will you just shut up and get on with it? You owe me for destroying my face, and that’s final. You said it was one of your favorite parts anyway. So get to it.”
“Alright, it’s a deal.”
“Good.”
