Alex
Okay, so Johnny convinced me to come with him but I seriously didn't feel anything cool about this party. I just wanted to be talking or chatting with Molly. She didn't even answer my question this afternoon. I just can't stop thinking about her.
Everyone seems to be happy and enjoying but all I need to feel the same way is to see Molly. She wasn't coming to the party because of the project.
"Over here Ash." Johnny said as he beckoned her.
I just didn't care who was here and that's sad.
"Hi Alex. Hi Johnny." She said from behind me.
I smiled, no i jumped out of the seat and turned towards her. I want to grab her and give her the warmest hug ever but Johnny is here and he shouldn't know I love Molly. Love? Me? When? How?
"Alex are you okay." Ashley asked and I nodded.
Funny enough I was still in my seat and there was no Molly. I felt like crying. My mind was corrupt now. I am overthinking and definitely over day dreaming.
"Alexander Sarfo, can't you be a gentleman just this once and offer her your seat or find a chair for her?" Johnny said half scolding.
"Her who?"
I looked beside Ashley and there she was the beacon of beauty. She had a beautiful smile on her face. What was i doing, still sitting. I hopped up and offered her the seat.
"Sorry, I didn't notice you." I said apologetically.
She seemed to be a different person now that Johnny and Ashley are here. She is not her usual lively self. I just wish we could be alone and having fun somewhere away from everyone.
"Attention everyone." Someone said. "Tonight is a very special day and the hosts of the party would love us to celebrate their engagement with them. Congratulations guys. Now let the real party begin." He snapped his fingers and a banner of Johnny and Ashley came flying on the stage.
Molly turned to face her cousin who was just displaying her ring.
"Oh, Ashley you are engaged to your love. That's great, congratulations."
"Thanks dear." Ashley said and pulled Molly into a hug.
Johnny and Ashley were called to the dance floor. That's when I saw the look on Molly's face. She looked angry, betrayed, sad and obviously had a lot of questions to ask.
" Did you know about the engagement?" She asked.
Before I could answer, she came, " she should have at least told me they were hosting the party or they were engaged. This is not what I expected tonight. She kept me in the dark and thought it would be a nice surprise to announce her engagement this way. Does..."
"Molly keep quiet. This is not something you should take personal. Just tell her you didn't like how you got to know about all this. Don't think too much about it." I said.
She got up and run out of the bar. I followed her, did I say something wrong? I got out and she was nowhere to be found. Then I felt her, she wrapped her arms around me. I let out a breath I didn't even know I was keeping inside.
