* * * * * “Where is that church?” I asked Kavanagh as I hurried up beside him. “Church?” Balboni asked. “Um…yes,” Kavanagh said. “We’re on our way to the First Baptist Church. Don’t you remember, Balboni? We talked about it last night.” “Oh, yeah. I forgot.” “It’s down by the riverside,” Kavanagh said. “We better hurry.” We walked through a nice neighborhood, with large homes and neatly trimmed yards. Soon we came to the deserted downtown area, where all the shops and stores were closed on Sunday.
