This isn’t about me anymore. This is about her.
It’s always been about her.
And now I have the chance to show her I trust her.
I thought trust was just Ros’s problem.
It’s not.
Because it’s been mine, too.
I’ve dated superficial women like Amber before because there was no depth, no real trust, no real chance of getting hurt. I always knew that, and I didn’t mind. I never wanted anything from those girls.
And I never regretted it.
I do right now, though.
Because, somehow, this woman who is standing next to me is more than that. She feels so much deeper to me than anyone I’ve ever known before, and I already know I can’t just let her go.
She won’t let me.
