CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Lyon stayed on the beach until past eight since the beach closed at ten before he left and went back home.

He passed by the bar he used to work at on his way back and decided to see the manager and quit his job officially and also thanked him. He knew if the manager wasn't such an influential person,he wouldn't have been saved when his head was hit during that fight.

He stopped his car outside and went in , there's another bartender already and this guy looks bulky,must be a fighter, probably what a bar like this needed.

Many gangs always met by chance here and so they always fought , someone like this should be able to at least stop it for some minutes before the security takes over.

He went over to the bartender and asked for the manager, judging by his dress,the bartender replied quite politely "he's busy right now" said the bartender.

Lyon nodded,the manager has always been someone who regularly have influential people to attend to.

"Tell him later that Lyon came over" he said and walked towards the door ready to leave only to be stopped by two men.

He recognized them as two of the g**g members that often fought at this bar almost every night,he even got hit once while trying to be a mediator,so foolish of him.

"You are here boy,I really missed your way or serving my drinks" said one of the men,he looked at Lyon from head to toe.

"Oh,look at him,did you change your style of dressing? Are you going to work somewhere else? Where did you buy this,it looks like a real one,can't be that cheap even if it's fake right?" The other one tried to touch his clothes to feel its texture .

"Boy,don't quit so easily,you weren't beaten so much the other day,if you had just seated at your place you won't have ended up hurt" the first man laughed.

"I know right,look at him just like a toy boy and he wanted to be a mediator? You really are lucky not to have been beaten to death" said the other man with a sneer.

"You little,why don't you join us,I realized you are quite resistant to beating,look at your wrapped head, I'm pretty sure you got beaten again "the first man chuckled and raided his hand to touch Lyons head but Lyon slapped his hand .

"It's late,I need to get back home,can you leave me alone?" Lyon asked, finding it hard to stay calm. Ever since he learned about his identity,he found it hard to just ignore how people treat him.

"He wants to leave?" Asked the other man and then they looked at each other and burst into laughter .

Lyon pushed them away and punched the first guy,looked at them coldly "unless you want to die,then dare to come after me"he said and left while the two men glared at him.

Lyon went home after making sure they really didn't follow him .

After he left the club,the two men stared at his back angrily,if not that the manager had warned them not to cause trouble here,they would have beaten that brat badly.

"We'll get him good next time,how dare he hit me"the first guy looks really mad now.

At the capital,after Mr Avi's call,all the Norman companies who had any sort of contract with Mr Jeremy canceled them immediately.

Mr Jeremy's company nearly went down completely in a day but being a ruthless man and a cunning business man,he managed to save a few of his other companies.

He was really angry at the response of the Norman family because he felt his little trick is not enough for them to react so fiercely.

He could only blame his daughter for being useless and unable to seduce Lyon at the right time now scandals and threats don't work.

He was invited to an interview today and as soon as he got down from his car,reporters started asking questions and taking pictures but he didn't say a word.

When the interview started,he immediately put on a smile as he greeted the interviewer.

"Mr Jeremy,a video has been going around with your daughter,do you have anything to do with this?" The woman asked.

Mr Jeremy sighed heavily"my daughter is beautiful and we'll behave,I don't know who posted that video to ruin my daughter's image,if it wasn't blurred, thousands of people would have seen her n***d body " he said sounding regretful.

"But the video is against the Norman family in my opinion, " said the woman.

"I don't know who's trying to start a dispute between our two families, as seen in the video,my daughter and the young master of the Norman are together,he broke up with her for no reason, that's what only a playboy would do" Mr Jeremy said.

"Then why did the Norman family stop working with you? Is it also because of this simple dispute?" She asked again.

"Maybe,I don't know if the Norman family are such a petty person, I mean only a petty person will go around throwing their weight on other people below them" he said making it seem like the Norman family are clearly bullying the weak.

"I cannot say that's not disgusting, bullying others just because you are above them is a total disgusting behavior" said the woman looking at Mr Jeremy.

"But maybe this has another reason that I don't know about,I trust my daughter,she won't do anything wrong," said Mr Jeremy.

"But I heard your daughter actually splash wine on a young man at her birthday party for no reason " the woman smiled cunningly but coldly.

"That's an absolute scandal! Anyone at the party would have seen the man was unreasonable,not only did he not bring anything as a birthday present,he came to eat but we the Jeremy don't condemned that,he sneaked in without an invitation and even lied,he also make my daughter uncomfortable,and she didn't splash it on him on purpose,she was scared and did this mistakenly" Mr Jeremy replied looking absolutely wronged.

The woman nearly sneered but covered it with a sweet smile "do you perhaps have anything to add before the next question?" Asked the woman.

" I would like the Norman family to look into this properly and restore our partnership,I hope they work on this" he said looking pitiful.

The woman nodded, then asked "isn't her boyfriend the same man at the party?" She asked and Mr Jeremy frowned.

There's clearly no cameras at the party so there's no way anyone took a video of the situation so no one should know what Lyon looks like except in the video.

And even if those attending the party did see his face,it was quite dark in the room that night so he should not be recognized .

He was suddenly anxious,this interview looked more like a trap than a regular interview. He's suddenly questioning his own reasoning for coming here.
